This is an unbelievable story and this story is a good one instead of the horrors of destroyed cues. I remember seeing this cue listed for sale on this forum and I liked it back then. Amboyna is one of my favorite woods and JMW is one of my favorite cue makers. If you have a price in mind for the butt only let me know.

your very fortionit to get it back. was very much in the same boat, had a Schick butt end only stolen from me a couple years ago at US Open. sold shafts last fall. Coldwater, Michigan State Police recovered butt end, i bought shafts back. all is well. these kind of things, aren't usually ended in a positive way. glad yours was. don

I have gotten alot of trade offers and have decided I want a strait cash deal on this .Have a few pending cash offers as well. Just so you know here is my formula on what will get you in the ball park for a fair price offer .
This cue from James is $1700 +
Take off around -$350 for shaft replacement
Then another -$100 for good will and the trouble of getting shafts
Then add + $65 to ship it insured in the lower 48 states
Then you will have a price I can live with for letting it go . Also from what I read Jim has about a 3-4 yr wait for a cue .....don't quote me on that it's just what I read.

Have been asked a few times about the finish and why I was sending the cue in to begin with . I had bumped a very small nick in the finish of the cue on the butt cap. Unless I get it in alot of light and get the camera just right its really hard to even see. The rest of the cue finish is emaculate as most of JMW cues are .Thus the reason I deducted -$100 for the good will and trouble of gettin that taken care of. Most places quoted me $40 to fix that spot. To be clear its only the finish and not a DING or a CHIP it is just where the finish flaked off .
