vpbb...Just curious here...You have several "pro" players who fly under the radar as amateurs in the Las Vegas tournaments (and other tournaments around the country). Do you believe this will affect their "ranking" as amateurs, since they are paid professional representatives in your professional league?

Thanks for the heads up! While perusing your rules, specifically the advanced rules, I didn't see anything that addresses the possibility of the bonus ball and/or the cue ball being in the way of the rack when doing a rerack. I would assume that the bonus ball would go back on its spot, but does the cue ball become ball in hand behind the head string or what? Looks like this should be specified in the rules. Also, on a rerack with the basic rules, it says to break just like the opening break, so I would assume that the cue ball would be moved from wherever it is to BIH behind the headstring, but this is not specified in the rules exactly, just by inference.

You are correct. If the Bonus Ball lands in the rack, it moves to the center of the table. If the cue ball lands in the rack, it is ball in hand, not behind the line! It's BIH anywhere!

I have read, re-read and re-done the rules so many times my head is spinning. LOL I will check that out tonight! After league! Thank you for pointing that out! If a player misses pocketing the Bonus Ball on a re-rack, then the opponent may Break and Shoot, like the opening break. Yes, the Bonus Ball and the rack are reset then and the player must break from behind the line.

I am so glad that Larry has this league ready to start! Video is the very best way to learn this game!

That will be up to the other promoters. Any player that competes in our league is considered a professional player. You can't just pay an entry fee and compete. You must be drafted. Like I told Justin from TAR, we don't want to hurt other events. I love all pool games and I had to schedule this the way I did and can't change it. I have a provision for professional players to miss some WPBL matches if they feel they want to pay an entry fee and fly somewhere else to compete. The team concept allows this to happen! They must compete in as many WPBL matches as possible of course. This is a realistic requirement. I want everyone to realize that this is a fan first and entertainment league. Real games but let's treat the fans number one! That is how NASCAR grew so big. You got to have fans!

These players are to thank for stepping up to the plate! They are being unselfish and the payroll is not huge but it is a lot if we don't have fans watching them. I can't tell you how much a player like Johnny Archer has done to help us with this league! They are really wanting a structured professional league. Larry Chiborak is trying to get that in place. I think the show that Nathan is producing will be outstanding! Fan's your going to really see some fantastic pool. November 29th, it will be FREE PPV weekend with all 12 teams playing! I can't wait!

This sounds great. Glad you are launching!!

How will the stream price of $9.95 work?

Will this be per match, per full day or per week?

Is there a way to buy a team season package?

Or an all exclusive all match package?

Is the content available only during the stream or will it be available for a certain time period after the live event?

$9.95 per week. That's 6 matches, at less than $2 per 2.5 hour match. Can't beat that.

As for a season pass, that will also be available. We're just toying with the numbers now, so expect that information within a few days.

That is too cheap IMO.

Teams have a lot of talent. I hope some of these guys u have on teams that are halfway around the country than where they live that they get some assistance

As Nathan mentioned the price will be for the entire week of matches. We are currently working on a complete PPV structure that will allow for an entire season pass as well as have options (for minimal cost more) to have full on demand access to previous matches. There have also been talks about setting up a per team package where you would receive only the matches your preferred team plays....if there is enough interest i'm sure this will be available. Although i'm almost positive that once you see the product and start getting into the league you will want to see many different teams in action. I also think that this league is going to set up for some pretty good side action on the forum :)...... Let the games begin!!!

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought one of the other releases stated that Shane was going to be on a team. What happened to that?

OK i have a question.

I was watching the Canada vs US video and at one point (a little after 55 minutes in) Corey pockets the bonus ball in one of the Canadian teams pockets on the re-break shot, is that legal or did everyone miss to call a foul?

It is legal on the re-break to pocket the Bonus Ball into any pocket. This rule allows a player a 50% better chance to hit the rack. We want the game to flow. If your just shooting the Bonus Ball on a sequence then it has to be in your own pocket and if it is to win a game, even on re-breaking, it must be your own pocket!

Once the season gets started and you watch a few games, play a few, you will have it down pat! Yes, there is a bit more to think about but it really makes playing pool a lot more fun!

Shane was in, said he's out. It's a free country and he has the right to sit and watch while the other pros play. We would welcome Shane back any time. This game really tests a player at all the skills. Shane would eventually become a killer at this game. We love Shane and hope we see him play! All of North America would love to see him play! He has so much talent!

Lenny, as far as $9.95 for the entire weekend being too cheap for all 6 matches, it is fair. It will raise enough funds to pay for some of the expense but it is not going to break anyone.

I believe if you put on a good show, it's cheap. If you put on a great show, it is priceless!

Finally decided to watch the video, which I've been looking forward to seeing. It's freezing up constantly and, as a result, basically unwatchable. Do you have enough bandwidth for the PPVs? It would be a shame for the debut to go poorly.

Roster Changes

Do teams have the ability to trade or change players? Or do they have to wait til the end of the scheduled season to do so?

is there a listing of where the matches will be played?

All matches will be played at the new WPBL arena in Las Vegas. It's a12,000 sqft (i think) billiard studio that resembles what you'd see at the Mosconi Cup, but with 12x 9' tables. It's currently under renovation and will be ready in a few weeks.

Yes Cory, we have massive band width, the best money can buy. We also have a very high quality video production that plays great if you have a faster processor and a good connection. I am on a new Ipad and it is unbelievable how good this looks.

Here's what i am told will be happening. We are going to try and get lower res video on to our server so you can pick the one best suited to you computer and digital hook-up.

I appreciate your feed back and thank you! Yes it is very important that our ppv plays really good and smooth no matter what the machine. I will be on that tomorrow morning!!!

That video is 720p HD at 3000mbps.

Stream quality will be available in 3 resolutions with corresponding bit rates, the most popular being 360p at 800mbps. 240p for mobile and 480p for watching on the big screen will also be available.

In either case, the stream will play on almost anything, anywhere.

The new website is just being finished now, which is why the temporary version only has one quality setting. Expect the new site up this weekend.
