I disagree, far more mistakes by the USA that can be cleaned up.

Dry break by Niko --- one can be back cut into the side by Schmidt. He makes and somehow misses the scratch in the corner. USA got a roll.

Just like I said Earlier, Nikos has been the weaker player from the euro team.

He makes it but can't get the cue ball to move enough to leave a good shot back on the 2. Boyes seems more comfortable today and makes it in the side. Niko misses the 3 but it falls in the corner. Niko misses the 6 in the same corner but it falls again. Almost scratches in the side and leaves Boyes a shot to the 8 in the corner.
Forget about Boyes being comfortable. 8 right into the rubber and leaves Hall a tough cut on the 8, a bank or a safety.

Yep, 3 and 6 should have stood up. the 3 especially, the OB wasnt even near a rail and he hits the rail going in and it still drops after a rattle. Lovely...
I think that was the shot to play. Schmidt told Hall to cut that and I dont think Hall was comfortable with the shot. Mistakes made by each side so far. This match should be 3-0 usa. Rack two schmidt misplayed shape to get to the 4 ball and left hall hooked with a wide open table. Maybe its a good thing Schmidt is only playing one match today.
