Oh he's so tired

I get a kick out of it when people say, oh he's tired", about a player having a poor match. He played 2 sets already today". I know there are tons of members on here and in the non-pool world that work many hours a day and week that have to be 100% on the job all the time. I know as a nurse I worked many back to back 16 hour days and if I screwed up I might kill someone. Just saying….give that a rest. Johnnyt

I agree, excuses are not acceptable. Just take it like a man, win or loose, try your best and hope for some extra weight in your pocket

I agree, put that in the "best excuses thread". Like anything else, you have to prepare adequatly. Granted, there may be some exceptions but you play the cards dealt

i think you are referring to what dennis hatch said

If i'm not mistaken jerry said that dennis said he was shaking before the match started so i dont think anybody can say he used this as an excuse after he lost as it was said prior to the match starting and before there was an outcome in my humble opinion . however excuses in general i do not like them just man up and say you lost if you did and you might get better.

I was talking about Hatch or any one player really. It's just something I hear a lot and have to laugh. Johnnyt

I'm feeling kinda tired, it's tough to really understand this thread

Only time it really effects me is when I get so tired I cannot focus my eyes to aim, but it's rare for me to get that tired.....

I'm afraid it's sad but true for some. Some of us do get tired as the day goes on and our minds turn to mush.

When this happens we start taking pot shots and hope for the best. All the while making it easier for our opponent. Of course I'm a lot older than most.
