So what is so unusual in pool gambling for someone to stick out their chest and then get their balls shot off? That's been going on for ages....you been freeze dried or just doing some hard time?
If this "Lou The Tough Guy" is for real, then he'll just call the bet and have an easy payday. again....ooooohhhh yes, he'll be able to "stomach it".
As for you having to "stomach it".....I don't see you trying to get a game with either of them.

But I like action....and these two seem to be good for action.

Well you're entitled to your opinion. From my side of it I am still getting emails congratulating me for even daring to get in the box for 10k.
I got plenty of support and new fans and sold cases. I got five months of marketing and had a great time. I wouldn't trade those relationships made for a do over.
Now I move ahead and go for the next one. If it comes off then great we can see if Barton learned anything and if not then no big deal.
Your opinion doesn't mean much frankly. This isn't up to a vote, it's my money and my life. I have had a couple months to reflect on this and how I want to go forward.
One thing I know for sure, most of the folks here dream about playing that type of money match. I did too and now it's done and I have the experience to decide if I want to do it again.
And I do. If Lou won't take the invitation then I am sure I can find plenty of people willing to play. After all there is 9 hours of me playing horrible to entice them to play.
I want to bet $20K.
I want to bet $500 a game on the side.
I will cover all side action on site up to $30K.

We all know that Lou. But at least I can say I did it when I am ready to try again.
Your choice. I made an offer to start talking about a rematch and if you can't see yourself playing again then that's your right.
My guess is that your backer doesn't have the heart to do it again.
But regardless, life goes on and I won't hound you about it. When I am ready to escrow the full amount I will make you a formal public offer and you and whomever wants to back you can see how you feel then.
And I will come and find you in St. Louis and ask you in person should you decline. Thus all avenues exhausted we will be done.
The offer as with the last one will still remain open until I choose orherwise.

People are all different. For some people the money isn't the be all end all (especially people that aren't hurting for money). Sometimes it just isn't worth the hassle to to some people to gamble with certain people even when you are guaranteed to win. Again, for some people. Other people are different and would accept 50 lashes from a wet whip just for even a chance to win $50. It all depends on your tolerance for whatever shenanigans might be involved, and some people have very little tolerance for that stuff. It all depends on how much money means to you. It all depends on how bad you need money. For some people money is everything, for some people it is not. Some people are plenty comfortable with the money they already have. Some people are desperate for more.
It is not like these guys are professional gamblers or anything who make their living this way and where it is pretty much always only about the money. They are just two normal people who sometimes like to gamble for their own reasons, and under circumstances they enjoy. To suggest or assume that it is only about money for everybody is to only see things through your eyes without realizing that not everyone feels the same way you do. Not to mention (and I am in no way speaking for anyone here or saying it is the case here) sometimes there are even other factors at work, like sometimes it is better to have won a substantial amount and to never, ever give the opponent a chance to get it back. You have his money and there is nothing he can ever do about it and that can come with some real satisfaction. Bottom line is that for many people there can be much more to gambling at pool than just the money.

- How to brag about your game which is bordering on comical?
- How to (try to) execute with the horrible form?
- How after shooting the absolute wrong shot at twice the required speed out of desperation, you make the ball and jump around like a clown?
If you kept it classy and and simply matched up and played you wouldn't be subject to my opinion or ridicule. You brought the drama and such the laughter from the quiet majority. Keep telling your "fans" that is was worth the 10K in advertising. My BS-dar says not a chance.

You know Nick I don't care about your opinion or your ridicule. What you think doesn't matter AT ALL. Other than responding to you on AZB you are totally meaningless to my life. Let me restate that, completely and utterly meaningless. Now that said so we know where we stand....
I did what I wanted to do, barked like I wanted to bark and had the fun I wanted to have in the run up to the match.
Never did I claim to be a pro, never did I claim to have great form, never did I claim to be any more than I am, which is a regular player who has played and gambled for most of my life at a decent level.
Most people that I know were thoroughly entertained by the whole thing as they should have been. Prior to the match I had dozens of people coming to me everywhere I went to talk about it.
I got a lot of play out of it from a marketing perspective and I got some respect for being willing to bet that high. Seems most players our speed, and that includes you, don't have the nuts to get up and bet their own or someone else's like that. Lou did and I did. You did not.
So save it. You have been critical of me and ridiculing me for years before the match went off. You wouldn't have stopped no matter how the match went and no matter how I promoted it beforehand. Nor do I care whether you do or don't stop and what your reasons are.
I know I played bad and that's unfortunate. Was a possibility and became a reality. Lou stayed cool and although he didn't play good either he came with some very good shots and generally the better moves. I got beat. That's how it goes sometimes.
Still....I played, you watched, because YOU don't have what it takes to do what and Lou I did. In my opinion that is. So I was the man in the arena and you remain the critic.
