Why not?
We have the "clap" thread, the "confessional" thread, and the "bad pro handicap" threads going so why not the "mandatory stupid nickname" thread?
Where I grew up, we had "Frenchy" because he was French, we had "The Hat" because he always wore a hat, and "Spanky" was built like Spanky from Our Gang - always a reason.
So why all the nicknames in pool, especially the women? Some of them seem as though they "had" to pick one and all the good ones were taken.
"The Irish Invader": invaded by an alien from Ireland? "The Duchess of Doom": scary, spooky, royalty? "The Sledgehammer": good break, but by no means earthshattering.
Are the players forced into picking a nickname? Or are they assigned?
No disrespect to any players, only to some of their nicknames.
