Old Adam cue - was there an M series?

I have had this one quite awhile and have yet to identify it in any catalogs.

Seems probably mid to late 1970s vintage to me, but not positive.

Has an "M" sticker on it, but I have not seen any brochure for, or mention of, an M series before.

Does anyone know by chance? Maybe an iteration of their Mizerak line different from the ones signed on the forearm?

Anyway, thanks to anyone that has info to share.

Was kinda hoping @jayman might come along and hit us with some Adam knowledge at some point.

Usually a round sticker has the model number like A/H-25, or it could have the weight. I also thought I read that the factory that made them began with an "M". Maybe it is one of theirs outside of the Adam catalog. Fred Agnir might be able to add to this.

They made a M/A series. That does not look like the M/A sticker however. Adam made a lot of cues that were not in the catalogs we had here in the U.S. I would say that is a fine example of that scenario. May I have it please? LoL

So, like out of a production line, but just not one intended for the US market, and somehow it made its way here? Does mid-70s seem right?

If you were serious and REALLY wanted it, we could probably work something out sometime. But I was not intending to part with it......it has a wrap unlike anything else I have ever had, really coarse and rough feeling. But on the other hand it has 4 points, but only 3 sets of inlays on the sleeve, which really messes with my sense of symmetry...

Anyway, thanks for the info/input everyone.

So would they build a custom cue? I thought Adam only made production cues.

I am learning! Thank you for your input.

Hi guys. I'm still just catching up with cue IDs that came up while I was gone.

This cue was obviously made by Adam, as has been said. The reason you can't find it in Adam catalogs is because it was not branded Adam. It was branded Murrey.

I linked the 1988 cue catalog below, those were made by Viking. I do not have any other Murrey cue catalogs. I have occasionally come across some others, but they only had pool tables in them. If somebody come up with additional Murrey catalogs, I would love to see them.

So, I don't know a model on it, but I am confident in the logo ID. The features such as pin, pilot, butt cap, etc can be used to date is as an Adam.

Ans yes, I might be a customer on this one, but I see I am behind Jayman. I don't think he really likes Adam cues anyway. ;)

Can neither confirm nor deny that this cue may have been in the Murrey line. Here's my Murrey pamphlet, with cues, The OP's cue is not one of them. Do agree that it was made by Adam sometime or other, with that pin.

Yup, that's the same cue line I linked to, from 1988. They were made by Viking.

As far as I can tell, Murrey didn't make cues, they just branded cues from other manufacturers. The cue in this thread is older.

As a historic point of reference Murrey references COM in that 1988 advertising. The Adam made Murrey would have been from before COM.

I am interested to see if we can come up with any more catalogs or flyers for Murrey cues.
