Old Adam's Cue

Ladies and Gentlemen, please help me identify this Adam cue. It's not in any of their catalog's and its my understanding it doesn't have a model #... it has 4 points and no inlays (had problems getting pics on this site, files too big) Thanks for your help.

I think we already discussed it - an Adam snooker cue marketed in Europe. I've never seen that kind of logo before in a U.S. cue. I still think the cue is from the early 1980's.

I've never seen that type of joint on a Adams cue before.
 
I had a problem trying to identify a helmstetter cue before and was advised to contact the guys at competition sports, they were very helpful, assuming they are still in existence it might be worth contacting them.
 
Don at competitive sports was stumped... he thought it was a hybrid of sorts or an older one made prior to the catalog.
 
adams co. forwarded the pics to their factory in japan and they shared it was their cue and joint but it was never mass produced with a model # or anything. could it be a cue made by David Forman prior to Teaming up with Richard Helmstetter? are either of those craftsman still alive?
 
I was going to recomend contacting Patti at Adam....
I have used them before and she really went out of here way to help me...
 
Patti at adams co. forwarded to seth in japan. they both agreed it was one of theirs. Seth shared that he thought it was made as a sample or special order. the joint system was called a miki-joint, kind of a quick release in those days.

Dick Helmstetter is one of the head honchos at Callaway Golf. He's done rather well for himself. Very good friends with Richard Black.

I think Helmstetter cashed his incredible stock options out and left Calloway to go back to Japan. This guy designs a 3-cushion cue that changes that game, then goes to Calloway, designs Big Bertha and changes golf. Some would say maybe he's a pretty smart cat. Now if he could just design me a stroke I'd be all set.

I've got a pal that is a high-mucky muck at Microsoft and he tells me there are secretarys there that were secretarys from the start and these people drive Rollers to work answering the phones.

emailed richard black and he felt that it's a production line cue from the early 70's and of no importance... what's got me stumped is if it was, why hasn't anyone seen the logo or joint before, if in fact they were mass produced....

What you have is an st-4 sand, ST stood for shark tooth. marketed in the early 80's the wholsale price was $20.25. Hope this helps!
