I have a vintage Blackboar for sale. It is birdseye with no points but has ivory windows and ebony inlays in the butt. The cue was made in 88 or 89. It has two shafts and everything rolls straight and true. The cue is in excellent shape.

Text me at 207-266-0637 for pics and more info. Serious inquiries only. You can also email me at hameldojo@hotmail.com

The black dot on the right of the boar's head indicates the cue has no ivory in it and acceptable for overseas shipping, per Tony's site. GLWS

That is correct and i don't understand why you don't put your asking price up ...............

I thought so, too, but the OP says the inlays are ivory...

Chris,
He has an asking price of $4000 listed in his original listing...see the link from above... http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=284571

Here is quote from the link:

Vintage Blackboar made in 1988 or 89. This cue has two shafts and is in great shape - everything is arrow straight together and apart. Ivory inlays and the wood inlays are ebony I believe. Very collectable. $4,000.00

* Don't bash this post or price set. PM me with offers. Interested parties only - I don't have time for the usual games played on here

Ivory

Tues. bump. The window inlays in the butt are ivory. The old advertisement that was originally put out by Blackboar states that these inlays and the ferrules are ivory STANDARD. Truthfully I don't know if the ferrules look like ivory - but the inlays ARE.

I had a reliable source on AZ check the cue out and he said that the cue was worth more than I was asking due to the inlays. The forearm is heavily birdseyed.

Price is $4,800.00 or best reasonable offer. Look on my public profile for the pics.

Tony told me at the SBE he thought the early cues will turn out to be the most valuable down the road,,,

Can't beat a Boar......

I'm not looking to pick a fight, but the guys are just trying to give you good information.

The ivory would have been STANDARD on a cue built for the US market, but the black dot indicates it's for the OVERSEAS market. STANDARD for OVERSEAS would be non-ivory parts.

The best thing would be to contact Tony and ask him what the black dot indicates, if you don't believe the guys here. Nothing helps a sale more than accurate information, and nothing hurts more than inaccurate information.

GLWS.

As far as price when new compared to asking price 20 years later he's right, percentage wise they are, but the difference in work is amazing. The "Stradivarius Catalog" cues aren't anything like what he builds nowadays

Wednesday bump...

Anyone that has played with a Blackboar knows - this thing has the best hit on the market.

Someone is going to get an awesome cue here. IS IT YOU?

To the OP:

Please become familiar with the bumping rules. Do not post in your own thread but once every two days. Use PM's to answer questions on your off days and then post the answer the next day if you feel it is of general interest.

Thanks for helping us keep the forums open for all.
