No points, no flair. Metal Joint.
I know, I know. He only made twelve or something like that , in '84? I gave that guy quite a history lesson. He told me that his appraisors told him what he had. "I know what I have and you don't." was the response. Come on guys, show me the Joss.Fast Lenny said:They are tough to find,Old Man Joss didnt make alot of these.![]()
He listed exactly what he wanted,no points and no flare, plain birdseye maple, thats exactly what he wants.Subsonic2u said:I'm sure I have exactly what u want. No points in the dark stained birdseye (?) maple forearm, SS joint. Gold letter Joss. There is blue chalk on the tip from when I tried it out, but aside from that, it is in mint condition. Not one nick, scratch or dent. The finish is perfect and deep (thick). I could have said it was brand new, and u would never know the difference. I think there are 2 shafts with no blueing on the ferrules or shaft. It has been hanging on my wall rack as part of my collection in a climate controlled room, and is perfectly straight. Hits a ton and is solid. I have hit absolutly no more than one rack with this Q. Bought for my collection only and could not resist trying it out. There are 6 small inverted (downward) points of holly, or perhaps maple, inside of 6 slightly longer, larger points of ebony on the butt sleeve. Butt sleeve is 2 different woods. I think purple heart and dark stained birdseye (?) maple divided by a 1/4" ebony ring.
I do not have a camera but will try to get picks. This will not b a cheap give away sale as it can continue to hang on my wall. This stick is mint. Doubt u will find another as good.

Nice cue. I have had four or five similar cues brought to my attention. This kind of thing is exactly what I have in mind. thanks.Wedge said:Plain Jane Joss with block lettering I had Danny Janes make for me in the early to mid 70's (I am the original owner). Jimmy Matz had Danny make him one and I liked it so I had Danny make me one also. Stainless Steel joint, 19oz with 2ea 12.5mm shafts with dash rings and an original matching joint protector for the butt. Both shafts are original and roll straight. The Irish linen wrap is also original. This cue was never refinished and is in original condition. I'd say for it's age it is in 9 out of 10 condition. That's a Fellini case next to it which I had Ron Thomas replace the lining in. I bought it the same year I bought the cue. There is some slight wear but I'd say it is also a 9 out of 10. Is this what you were looking for?
