It looks like two different shafts in the photos. One pic looks like a predator segmented shaft and anothe pic looks like a regular maple shaft. What is the actual shaft?

Nice looking cue John. The purplheart looks really nice and bright. And purpleheart is a great wood for sneakies. Plus, Tim's sneakies are very well known for their playability. I bet this cue is a monster! Bump for a nice offering to help out a friend in need.
