Here's to one of the best that has ever contributed to this forum. OldHasBeen's wit and humor are sorely missed.

RIP my friend

I don't remember OldHasBeen. But, I've only been on here for a little over a year, now. I just started catching on to who's who about 6 to 8 months ago.

I know a lot of good folks have been on this forum and left for one reason or another. I've seen notices that a few who really contributed good stuff left us, permanently. I always hate to see those notices, but I know they are going to happen.

RIP, OldHasBeen, and know that you had a friend down here that liked you well enough to remember your birthday and mention your memory to those of us who didn't know you.

Thanks for sharing, DeadPoked.

This one of OldHasBeen's most memorable posts. He was definitely a character. I would loved to have met him.

Waaaaaaay Back in the early '60's (hippy days) I used to play all the time in bare feet. I loved it. There was something about it that made me more energetic and quick. During long sessions back then, I would take a break and wash my face, hands and put my foot (one at a time) into the toilet and flush. It was very refreshing and I could play for hours that way.
Way later in life, I told Louie about this because he sometimes would be playing for days on end. After a couple of days (in the same shoes and socks), there could be an odor. He liked the idea so much that he started doing it even when only playing for 6 or 8 hours.
Now I just wear NB walking shoes - and not for long.

TY & GL

He was definitely one of the good guys and and I am grateful that he participated and shared his stories with us.

Happy Trails OHB.

Tom Ferry, was my friend. God rest his soul. Hope we can crank-um-up again some day.

Am I correct that he also went by Tom Martin at times?
