OMGWTF Derby blog is up

There's only one thing OMGWTF likes to do more than write about pool.
NOOOOO not that, you dirty minded old men. She likes to play pool! And does it fairly well I might add.

I had the good fortune to hook up with her a few months back, and I could feel her breathing down my neck when I was shooting, just waiting for me to dog it. I almost did too. :)

I hope everyone that reads her blog hits the tip jar so she can continue to go to these tournaments and entertain us with her stories. Johnnyt

This is bull poop. There's NO way that one person can produce such an amazing blog -- it's so obvious that there's a team of writers behind that blog.

I met her and I trust her.

Skepticism concerning my credibility is understandable--conceivably, I could be a cog in some omgwtf blogging conspiracy/propaganda machine. But to relegate my claims as outright "bull poop" is a pretty bold statement considering that you don't really know for sure who I am or what I know.

I hope you're kidding. She's a good witty writer, and pretty talented. And when she talks, it's just like her blog. And these odd things do happen to her. She's met entirely too many people at events at this point for anyone to doubt her authenticity. So, I assume you're kidding.

I think Peer was just kidding:p and being a bit sarcastic. I see it as Peer praising OMGWTF's creativeness as not possibly conceivable for just one mind...But he knows/believes better;)

Peer, correct me if I'm wrong... I can also vouch for that it is a work of one amazing mind.

Sunnyday.

No, I'm serious. To quote myself from a previous thread: It amazes me to see that some of you still believe that OMGWTF is really a person. It's so obvious that there's a team of writers behind this brilliant "asian pool playing chick" -- no one, especially not a girl, could be as spunky, articulate, and inventive. It's lonelygirl15 deja vu.

Lighten up Tony, I think it was a joke...

I could be wrong, but I thought it was a joke. He should have put a :) or a

EDIT: And that quickly, three replies, two thinking he was joking and Peer himself saying he wasn't joking...as I said I could be wrong and was apparently.

I find it hard to believe you are serious, but it appears you are. I read the blog today, for the first time, and I found it entertaining. But there was absolutely nothing in there that a resourceful, bright person could not write alone.

Okay, you are entitled to your beliefs...you have no reason to trust anyone on this forum...as far as you're concerned, I'm not real either:rolleyes:

This ia the only guy who could figure out this massive hoax. Many people now know OMGWTF is actually several guys and gals who share witty stories and decide which are the best ones to use. Good job Peer! You're brilliant!

Great pics and writing.

I missed Derby this year but all the stories I've heard or read always bring a smile.

Thanks for posting Derek.

PS. I still use that Billy Webb cue .

I dunno..
I guess I kinda missed all the hubbub...

I have read the blog a few times, maybe 4 or , and while entertaining it is not groundbreaking earth shaking stuff..........these people or this girl (whatever) can get a few laughs out of pool players, but I dont see them getting book deals from anybody...

BTW...
WTF is with the undercover spy writer schtick anyhow....? whats the big deal.. she/he/it/they write about tacos and poolhalls...I might be wrong, and I am sure to be corrected if I am.. outside of "us" who cares ..really?

That is the beauty of it Smoke. If you are not a pool player you wouldn't understand.

Most things that are popular with the masses are targeted to the lowest common denominator. If you can read her blog without a dictionary (in more than one language on occasion) you are lucky.:D

Not everybody is trying to make the E channel.

Why when anyone does something in the pool world does it always end up at "Yeah..but you'll never get on tv/sell a 1,000,000/get rich/make us rich/get in the olympics." ? :D

Who cares? Enjoy it for what it is or don't.

Yeah yeah.. I get the whole mass appeal thing...

But I just dont understand the deal with the seceret agent thing...

I like the blog... is it bookmarked in my favorites.. nah... but I read from time to time..

I must have just missed the bus when the whole "who writes it" thing took off...

I dont know about that one. You will have to ask her/him/they/it. OMGWTF posts here.....or does she???? (Insert creepy X-Files music here)

LOL...I think it started because she sometimes says unflattering things about certain individuals. Aynonimity (I got no shot to spell that right) is pretty common in the blog world, sometimes as a hook (The Fake Steve Jobs blog for example) other times to make being honest a little easier on the writer. Nothing new.
