On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

At one of the local poolhalls here I braved the smoke thinking that maybe I could handle a little second hand smoke.

The mistake for me was my nose started running uncontrollably now again. My sinuses are all jammed up. I finally woke up at 7:00PM tonight after trying to sleep and breath and waking up 100's of times. Been in bed trying to sleep for 14 hours.

I will have to go on another regiment of antibiotics. This sinus infection will not go away. I had these side effects from the smoke for 4 months before and it doesn't feel like it will get any better this time either on it's own. I thought I had a virus or something before. Not at all. It was side effects from the smoke.

The day after being in the smoke I woke up and could hardly get to the bathroom for a shower. Wobbly and disoriented. This was not fun at all.

Then I had to do 3 lessons that day. Like a trouper I did the one at 2:00 PM and did the other 2 from 5:30 PM to 1:30 AM. I had a very hard time driving back to the room and when I layed down and was having trouble breathing I knew what I was in for.

The next day I called a bunch of the players that had wanted Phone lessons and worked with some of them. Got pretty luck and did about 7. There was no way I could physically do any lessons in person that day or the next.

This is the third day since then. I bought a steamer so I could inhale as much moisture as I can and kind of try to clean out the pipes. This is Monday. I was in the smoke wed and thur nights.

Glen told me he also can't go into that place at night because of the smoke.

To me it's pretty simple. These businesses need to step up to the plate and protect the people that the laws are trying to protect. These laws were made by the people voting on it. They don't want to get sick anymore or feel bad or smell bad from something they don't want or have anything to do with.

So i go to the non smoking states only to run into all these smoking traps where the business are either totally ignoring the smoking laws or making not so good efforts to keep the smoke out of the main business and out of their customers lungs.

I'm just trying to stay alive and have some fun and teach some pool.

We are all nice people out there. Smokers and non smokers. I know that many of the smokers won't be around when I come back in 10 years if I'm still around.

I'm just trying to stay alive.

There are states where smoking in public places is prohibited and there are pool halls out there where smoking is not permitted indoors. For your health and well-being, it's up to you to find them.

Gene, 49000 is less than .01% of the US population. Not to be trite, but hardly statistically significant. You say attributed to. Attributed by whom? The same people who are waging the Anti Smoking Campaign as a first step of eliminating our civil rights and taking over our lives? Sorry Gene, hardly a credible source. Fact is, unless every moment of every one of those 49,000 people was known and an in depth autopsy was performed, there is no way to accurately attribute anything to their death other than they died.

With that said, despite my view on illegally mandating what a private business owner can legally do with his business, I think it absolutely sucks that a posted non smoking facility is blatantly ignoring the law. Unfortunately for you, with your fragile health, seems to me when you see this happening, you should immediately begin packing up your equipment and head to the door. It sucks for you and it sucks for those in that establishment who will miss out learning from you, but really, what choice do you have? Your ability to spread your wisdom and make a living is dependent upon you being able to physically perform, day in, day out. Maintaining that physical ability has to be your number one priority and number 2 is too far below that to be concerned about. Good luck my friend!

Louisville is non smoking...............

This is what I'm trying to say. These are poolhalls where there is supposed to be no smoking by law.
Some places ignore it all the way and others just kind of try to enforce it but don't do a very good job like the one I was in last wed and thur.

Pretty sad.......

Yes, it's sad. About all you can do is call in advance to determine their smoking policy...and go somewhere else if the information is incorrect.

Maps like the following might be useful too:
http://www.no-smoke.org/pdf/WRBLawsMap.pdf
States in "blue" have a 100% Smokefree Non-Hospitality Workplace, Restaurant, and Bar Law.

Thanks for the info. i looked at the map and Kentucky is still a smoking state but louisville made their own ordinance as many of the cities do when the state drags their feet on the issue.

That's why there is an issue. People can just go over here or over there and smoke and play pool if they want. I say let them go and build your business on players that don't mind going outside to smoke and non smokers.

Anyway. I need to stick to the states that are absolutely all smoking but again it doesn't matter if they don't abide by the law.

Thanks again there Allen.

Got a little action tonight...........

Went to Gilberts Bar and Grill to see what was going on. I was thinking about doing a Perfect Aim Clinic for their league tomorrow night.

When I walked in there was a pool player came up to me right away and asked me if I was looking for a game. I said sure.

His name is kevin and I found out he plays pretty sporty especially on that Diamond bar table.

We played about 4 games and Gilberts kicked us out. So kenin said we should go to Spectators. Another nice bar with a bunch of 7' diamond tables.

I was stuck 2 games from the other place and I started out running the first 2 games at spectators. Got up 2 games and broke sqwating the cue ball and a ball knocked it right in the side. Kevin ran out and put a 4 pack on me. like I said this guy can play.

I got back to even and kevin said uncle.

But I got a good workout and I made a new buddy.

I got a lesson at Bank Shots tomorrow at 2:00. Kevin said he might show up but he doesn't want to play me anymore.

The good news is my sinuses and lungs are starting to come around.

I said it once and I'll say it again. No more smoke.

Had some fun at Gilbert Bar and Grill in Louisville tonight.

Gilberts was hopping tonight. All the tables were full.

I had to wait until a table opened up but that was OK because it gave me plenty of time to talk to the players and tell them who I was.

There was only one player there that actually knew who i was. A rare event for sure.

Mathew Kelley from Indiana knew me from AZ.

It was a good clinic with about 13 mini lessons.

I'm showing Todd the owner tomorrow or the next day during the day. i'll find out tomorrow the time that will work.

Had a great lesson with Walt Sisk today also at Bank Shots.

Truman took us downstairs and we used the private room that Truman set up down there. It was great.

And as usual the lesson was a home run all the way.

Walt really needed to get the eyes right and has allot of work ahead of him to keep them right.

Working with Walt really pumped me up to go out to Golberts and show my stuff.

What a great day.

Mistake, could have killed me last night

I was at a poolhall called Spectators in southern Louisville. I was playing a guy named Kevin. He plays pretty sporty. He got me stuck a few games and when I came back and got even he quit.

There was this young black guy that came into the poolhall and he told Kevin that his car broke down by the Pizza Hut and asked him if he could give him a ride. I'm assuming that Kevin knows this guy.

Kevin tells him no. He had gotten a ride there by someone else.

Thinking that this is a friend of Kevins I offer to give him a ride. He said his car is stalled right down by the Pizza Hut. It's about 3/4 of a mile down the rode.

Being kind of street smart I ask the guy a few questions after he got in the car. I asked him if he plays pool and he said No. This guy also goes about 240-250 and I go about 195. He's about 26-28 years old so I really don't like my odds in a fight. I'm 59. Pretty good shape but 59.

I already got a red flag up because he's not even a regular customer there.
I'm sure nobody there knew him.

As we're driving down to the Pizza Hut I'm trying to sum up the situation as far as what I'll do if this happens or that happens.

Right now we're on a pretty busy street. As we get down to the Pizza hut he says you need to take a left ,Old Time. Yes he called me Old Time.

On the way down to Pizza Hut he said he might just be out of gas. I told him let's just get some gas and bring it down. He declined.

I don't see a car and I ask him very boldly, Where is your car. He says down by the light.

So I drive down to the next street light and he repeats down by the light.

I go to the next street light and he points to the traffic light about 2 more blocks down. The traffic light he said.

It's like he is making this up as we go.

This whole situation just stinks.

Now we're at the light and he says to turn to the left and then he asks me if I could spare some money so he can get some gas.

Another lie.

I looked down the road and it led to a very residential area. If something happened down there no one would even know it.

There was a car on the right side of the road. I told him, this must be your car. He reluctantly said yes. Another lie.

I pulled over and pulled out 3 bucks I had in my left pocket and told him this is as far as I go.

There was a little pause. He was thinking about his next move.

In the drivers seat your kind of vulnerable because the passenger can just come accross with a great big right hand. I have my hand on the door handle. If I see that right hand come accross i'm out the door. I like my chances out there better.

Finally he opens the door and doesn't say a word and got out.

I think he knew it would be a battle. This old Time would have put up a pretty good fight. Not fun though for sure and probably would have been a losing situation if he had a knife or a gun.

But I assume if he had either of them he would have done more than get right out.

After he got out I thought to myself how stupid I was to assume that he was a regular there and that he knew Kevin.

As we were driving down the road thoughts about another AZer named Mike Surber popped into my head. He got murdered awhile back and they still havn't caught the killer. I thought to myself, this is how that could have all started also with just a ride.

I need to be more careful from now on and so do all the other AZers out there that read this.

I really feel lucky because i know for a fact that this guy was up to no good.

I think the only thing that saved me from trouble was it might have just seemed like a little more trouble than he wanted to deal with.

Today I am a lucky man for sure.

One man a van and the road...........

No rides for sure Gene.... When someone even panhandles me for money I tell them "Sorry partner, all I've got is plastic.".

Great night at Diamond Pub and Billiards on Barrett

Got down there and started passing out fliers at around 8:30.

Started doing mini lessons right away.

Had one guy that was a 2 in the league and was really having trouble getting straightened around with the eyes. I tried just about everything that I could to help him. Finally after about an hour of work he started coming around.

Then there was Julian. She shot the ball right into the rail when she was trying to cut it to the left. She was right eye dominant. Imagine that. Once we got her straightened around she was firing the ball right down the rail to the right. She made a special trip back to the table to say thank you later in the night. She was over on another table playing and could see how huge what she had learned was.

Darn though. I didn't get a hug.

There were players waiting for the mini lesson and I worked with players right up until 2:00AM.

I'm going to sleep well tonight.

getting the room here for another week. Got too many lessons to do to leave right now.

Maybe i should just get an apartment:grin:

Perfect Aim at Billiards Club tonight.......

There is a LAP tournament tonight. I'm going there to put on a Free seminar for the players tonight.

This is a great poolhall with a great atmosphere.

And it's smoke free.

One man a van and the road.............

It was tough tonight at the Billiards Club.

You know how some things just don't seem to go right on a certain day.

Today was it for me.

I got there at 7:30. The table was open to do the lessons but i forgot my fliers so I went back to the room to get them.

When i got back to the poolroom they had rented out the table.

So I went around thinking that he might not play long but that didn't happen.

The tournament players were pretty crowded and it was pretty tense for allot of them I could see. They were more interested in seeing what their teammates were doing on the table than checking out Perfect Aim.

I did get on that table though and I hit some balls with the guy that had it. It felt really good and I was really seeing the shots well.

Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can find some action. it doesn't have to be allot. 50, 100 or 200 a set. I just want to play.

All work and no play gets pretty tough some times. We're all kids when it comes to pool I guess.

So I'm going to try and get some good sleep tonight and see what I can muster up tomorrow.

It's about time I get back in stroke a little. It's nice to know how to get the vision right but you still need to put the package together. My package has allot of holes in it right now. it won't take long to fix it but I need to start now if I want to play in Indy on the 23rd.

Whoever I play tomorrow they better play well. I feel like going on a mission. A mission to kick some ars. I'm going to find out what they got here in Louisville.

Just wanted to share this ...........

Many players don't know this but i also do as many of these phone lessons as I can while I'm on the road.

Here is just one of the many responses to the Free phone lesson.

it's a thread that smallfry419 started after experiencing how well this worked for him even over the phone.

Perfect Aim - 03-07-2013, 05:31 PM
I just got off the phone with Gene. Has anyone else tried the Perfect Aim

system? I was very skeptical at first and was thinking there is no way this

guy can show me anything over the phone. Man was I wrong! He had me

set up different shots and before I even told him I missed he not only

told me why I missed but he told me I hit it too thick and how to line up

on the shot correctly to make it. I thought there was no way he knew I

hit the ball like that. I learned something today that made me feel how a

beginner player learns draw for the first time, that WOW feeling!

Thanks Gene!!

Thanks again smallfry419. Have fun with you new toy.

If you have anymore questions don't hesistate to call.

Finally got to play some, I needed that for sure!!!!!!!!!!

I just love to teach Perfect Aim and really love to help players improve their game but it gets really tough to work, work and work some moere to try and set up lessons.

Most players don't think or can't even imagine that there is anything like this that will help them aim so much. And i don't blame them because the eyes just auto focus when the wrong eye is doing the aiming just a little and it still looks ok to shoot.

When they miss they blame it on other things like stroke or stance being the most common. Maybe grip.

But once I show them they know that the problem was the eyes beyond a

shadow of a doubt.

Today I just made up my mind to just do this day for myself right from the beginning. I had a player to call for a lesson possibly today but i can still do it on Monday, Tuesday or wed.

So i called my buddy Brock. He's on AZ here allot and he was the main reason i came to Louisville in the first place. He did the Perfect Aim lesson the second week I was here and his game has went up allot.

He met me at Bank Shots. I told him I was looking for a game. Not for a huge amount of money. Maybe $50 to $300 sets but i really would only like to play for $50 because i havn't played much for the last 3 weeks.

Duke Laha was playing Goldey. I think that is wht they call him. Both of these players play at a higher level and are right at the top here in Louisville. They were playing races to 9 for $150.

Goldey won $300 from Duke. I saw they were quitting so I moseyed over and asked Goldey to play some.

I told him I'd just like to play for $50 a set, kind of like practice .

I consider $50 to $100 sets practice. Nobody is going to get rich and get hurt for sure with that amount.

He said $50 was fine.

I didn't hit any balls on the table before we started and it looked like he was just going to run me over. This table was allot faster than the one I was playing on with Brock earlier.

I was down 5-1. Then I got the speed down and soon the score was 5-6 my favor. Now the player on the side were watching again what they thought was just going to be a wipe out.

Goldey can play for sure and soon the score was 7-7. I won the next game. It was a pretty good battle. And then i ran out the last rack to put it away.

I had put in ear plugs because it was pretty tough to shoot with all the activities that were going on. The table is in a spot in front of the counter that players go to pay their time or order food or drinks. I can fade that and it's good for the game to practice with some distractions but the voices I couldn't overcome. It almost seemed like some of them were trying to help out Goldey by sharking me but I'm sure it was just bad timing on their part.

I really wanted to play and if Goldey would have said he only wanted to play for $200 i would have done that reluctantly though. I've played so little lately that the cue almost feels like a broom. i'm sure you all have experienced that for sure.

I'm going to the Billiards Club tomorrow to see if i can do some more mini lessons during the day and if I'm not too tired go back down to Banks Shots and play Goldey some more.

Or they do have a great league on Sunday night at Bank Shots. I'll check with one of the owners tomorrow night and see if he would want me to work with his players for free. Free mini lessons.

I'm sure he would. But we'll see.

If I play tomorrow night we can play for more. I was just a little skittish and thought I might not be able to play at all.

Being able to aim makes it allot easier to get my grove back.

No lessons today but I sure had some great fun......

Sharing a great nutritional dish with everyone......

You read about all the magic vitamin this and that. The kelp you can get from the ocean.

Guess what guys. If you really want to give your body a boost just go to the grocery store and buy the stuff that's right there and it's cheap.

I'm not a nutritionalist but I have figured out a dish that is just delicious and you can make it in a microwave while your on the road or at home.
And without much thinking I know I'm getting some great vitamins.

One fact that people don't know. Did you know that the vitamincompanies and scientists can't even figure out what about 30 percent of the stuff is in a fruit or veggie. If they can't figure it out how can they duplicate it how can they put it in a pill.

They don't want you to know about this. Might wreck some of their sales.

Darn. people have figured this out and they are just buying and eating the real food and getting healthy and not buying our vitamins. Sad for the vitamin companies.

If you eat the real stuff you know your getting everything you can get and your body definitely knows what to do with it.

Here it is.

Get one of these little ninja processors at Walmart. Be careful when you wash it because the blades will slice you like the sharpest knife you ever used.

Then get a can of Progresso soup. Chicken Cheese Enchilada.

1/2 of a green pepper
1/2 red pepper
1/2 small onion
1/2 cup of carrots
1 inch of a sweet potatoe

Chop these up real fine in the ninja. Takes about 10 seconds to do.
Then microwave these for about 3 minutes.

Take one bunch of brocolli amd chop it up with a knife.

Microwave for about 2 minutes.

Now mix it all with the soup in a bowl for 4 minutes.

It takes about 10 minutes to make from start to finish.

I've been doing this for about 4 weeks now and my body just seems to crave this mixture. I didn't really see any benefit until about week 3.
I skipped it one day and just ate some eggs and toast with some fried potatoes and I was one wore out puppy a few hours later.

This is pretty cheap to make. I eat half of this for breakfast and save the rest for late night when i get back from playing or teaching at night or early morning.

It does 2 things. It gives my body something good that it know how to precess and it keeps me from eating some flat out garbage that is everywhere you look on the road.

soup. $1.75
all the veggies $1.75 per meal

For $3.50 for 2 nutritional meals it's allot of bang for your buck.

Do this for about 3 weeks and your body will be starting to say thank you every single day. My body just says thank you each morning when I start to eat this great dish. My brain keeps telling me, Why didn't you ever do this before. About time anyway. Keep it up buddy.

Oh my . it's so good also...........

If anyone tries this for a few weeks find this thread and post on here your results and how you feel.

Great news for pool and Perfect Aim also.....

Got a call from Daryl from Kansas City Mo. asking if i wouldn't mind doing a little segment on his radio show about being on the road and how it's going.

Of course I said yes and can't wait to get the first show under way.

It will be air at 5:00 central time and my On the road segment will be about 5:40 central time.

Jpegsports.com and the it will be on 1140 am or 102.9 fm. I don't know if a person could go to Jpegsports.com on the internet and hear it or not. I don't know much about how that works.

It isn't really that big of a deal but it's a start. I do this because I love pool and love helping players play better. Fortunately what I teach with Perfect Aim is the real deal and gives everyone a great big boost immediately.

The best way to describe Perfect Aim is like putting a scope on your rifle for the first time ever. Now 100 yard or 200 yard become doable.
Perfect Aim gives you that scope immediately. This is why it helps players aim better right away.

Daryl is a great guy and is doing so many good things in the Kansas City area including this show.

I was living in Lees Summit Mo for about 7 years when I got sick. I was diabetic and didn't know it. It pretty much cost me everything I had. During that period i was trying to play pool again not knowing how sick i really was. And yes I was seeing doctors but they just didn't figure it out somehow. that was a tragedy within itself.

I moved back to Wisconsin and started seeing doctors there. In Nov of 2008 I had a stroke. Jan 2009 they figured out I was diabetic. Lost 60 lbs and I never looked back.

I loaded up the van and headed to Vegas to win a big tournament May or June of 2009 and then headed to Phoenix to give lessons and win one of those Desert Classic events there 2 months later.

The first Perfect Aim video was kind of home made and was just made to help players remember what they were taught.

Never could I ever have imagined that it could turn into what it has today. I can't even go in a poolhall anywhere in the USA and not have players come up to me and say hi gene or hi there Mr perfect Aim. How's it going? I've heard about that Perfect Aim. How does it work? i say glad you asked. I'll show you.

Most of them don't know how it works but they've heard of it.

And every pool hall I go to I have instant friends. This is the coolest part. I'm home no matter where I go.

I told everyone in Kansas City about this amazing way I aimed and I even gave a bunch of lessons. The players I showed started playing better right away.

I told the players here that I was going to make a video and it would be one of the best aiming techniques if not the best in the USA.

There are already a couple of the top teachers in the world teaching Perfect aim and have it in their own videos. Of course they are not calling it Perfect Aim but the meat of the technique is clearly what it is.

I've taken it to the next level that nobody can even imagine exists. The players that learn Perfect Aim are getting a priceless lesson. They are learning something that nobody ever taught to this extent and had it right. Once a person learns this there is no more guessing on how to aim.

You have all the answers.

This is the original pm sent to me to kick this off.

But tune into the radio station if you can and support Mr Daryl for what he is doing for pool right in the heart of the USA in Kansas City Mo.

This is Daryls response when i told him i will do this.

Cool, The show runs 5pm - 6pm central every Sunday. Maybe we can even do a re occurring spot such as on the road with Geno segment. You could give us a report what's going on, etc kinda like you do with your thread on AZ. It could be a 5 minute update, kind of like your own 5 minute show

My # is ---------- and the stations # is 816-792-1140. Let me know what you think.

Darryl

Oh and by the way. Daryl can play some mean pool and can beat anyone in the world in any given match. Plus. i've heard he's an excellent teacher of the game.
