On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Worked with Mike today and what a treat............

This was really a special lesson,
Mike is 70 years old. He was at the tournament and he told me he knew that there was something that was wrong with his aiming. I told him it was wrong with everyones aiming. It's just that some players just have a bigger problem with the eyes and with some it is less.

But they all have the problem.

it turns out that Mike is right handed and left eye dominant. Like most players that are opposite eye dominant Mike was already getting the left eye in the dominant position. But he didn't know how to keep it in the most dominant position. And this is what all players don't know how to do. Of course unless they have learned Perfect Aim.

It's just a natural glitch that everyone has. First I show them that they have it and just how bad it is for them and then I show them how to fix the problem.

With Mike it was really hard to get that dominant , dominant position especially when he was cutting to the right. We worked together for about 4 1/2 hours.

He's got it figured out right now and is seeing the shots correctly. But he's got a long way to go to get to a real high level. But i know that the results that his friends are going to see in the next 2 weeks will be amusing to say the least.

This guy is shooting about 2 balls better than when we started.

The most common complaints i get when i give players that are up there in age is,

Where were you 30 years ago.

And that is such a shame.

Everyone needs to know this but don't know how much they need it until they learn it.

Don't wait until your best years of playing are gone. And of course the best years are the ones right now. But why waste your time and energy missing balls when there is something available like Perfect Aim that helps make it so easy.

God Bless Mike. Still willing to learn at 70. And still sharp as a tack.

I sure love teaching players how to play this game we love to play.

One man a van and the road......

Tomorrow I got action. I need to see if I can play. I'd like to go to Tunica but I got to get my game back.

Trying to coordinate travel and lessons...

The toughest thing to do is coordinate my travels and lessons.

Right now in the Madison, Elkhart, Racine and Chicago circle i have 4 players plus some wifes that want to learn Perfect Aim.

I'm close in Dubuque right now.

There is a tournament in Downers Grove just outside of Chicago. I'm going to try and coordinate a little fun with a few lessons.

I think my best bet is to go to Downers Grove to get settled in for the tourny and see what I can get done from there and have a little fun.

I could actually think today. the first time my brain said hello since my concussion.

I can see the light!

Good news if this is going to continue I'm back in business full time and so is Perfect Aim.

If anyone can get to Downers Grove or close the perfect aim window will be open.......

715-563-8712.........How did they do that on Matrix?

Thanks Woody

Glad to hear your feeling better Geno!!!

I know you know after being hit by that train.

My brain injury was nothing like yours for sure but I know you know what it is like not to be able to think and function.

At first you don't know how bad it is because everything seems like a dream.

Then you start coming around and start realizing how much you forget or can't remember.

I still have a long ways to go for sure but I sure got allot done today that I couldn't even think of doing. It's coming around............got a whole lot of me back today.

Thanks again my friend..............

Met a young man today with allot of potential......

I met a young man a few days ago in Dubuque that could be one heck of a player in a short period of time.

His name is Justin M. I gave him a lesson that soon converted into one of my special lessons because he has ocular vision. He aims only with one eye.

Once I showed him how to really zero in his aim with that one eye he responded by shooting the balls very accurately.

He's going to be 21 in a few months and if I was in better physical shape right now I would be building another champion. He just needs the work and the discipline and the rest would just fall right together.

I always say there is allot of talent out here in these pool halls that just need a little bit of help and they would be right out there competing with anyone.

This kid is one of them. He's a good kid also.

If a few months from now there is a young man with me on the road named Justin you know where he came from.

One man a van and the road..................

The night before the storm..........

Tonight I will go to the pool hall and hit a few balls. If anyone wants to gamble a little I'll play a set or 2 for $100 or $200 to get in the mood for tomorrow.

My neck is killing me but i iced it up for the last 3 days so it's bearable.

Havn't been playing much but that might be a good thing.

A good nights sleep is the best ingredient a player can add the night before.

See ya all there.........

One man a van and the road.........

We're off to see the Wizard..........

Best of luck to you my friend. May the Pool Gods be with you.

The wonderful world of pool and competition and there will be plenty of it in Downers Grove, Ill today.

Who's going to get the carrot? The guy that plays best today.

That's why we play the game.

Main goal here is M O N E Y

One man a van and the road. Just a little banged up though:rolleyes:

Made the second day.............

The boys from Chicago are all here and some of the Milwaukee crew is here also.

I don't know how many are left. i just got out of there because i want to get some sleep.

I like the way they're doing it though. The losers bracket comes back at Noon and the winners at 1:00 PM. How cool is that!

I sure wish more tournaments would give you the time to sleep and not turn it into an endurance contest.

Hope everyone everywhere is having as much fun as I am this weekend, whether it be spending time with the family or maybe a tourny also.

I might not win today but.........

I've given myself the best chance i can. Got plenty of sleep 8 1/2 hours.

Neck and everything else that usually hurts on a 60 year old pool players body is in feel good mode which is great. goes with the sleep.

Now I just need to do it. Have that drive on each and every shot to get it done. I practiced this drive part yesterday and I could see the progression happen all day long until i got totally exhausted. It was the first time all day that I blew an out that was just sitting there. Tired and careless.

Thank goodness my good play up until then had gotten me ahead 6-3 already.

I don't remember the name of the guy running the tournament but he is doing one heck of a job. Top shelf guy too. Really good with the players.

Anyone that wants a great tourny needs to let this guy have a chance.

Have a great Day everyone. And I don't forget about all the people that helped make this country what it is today and the sacrifices that they made with their lives.

I always feel in awe when I meet someone that has served in the military and is done or in it right now.

Thanks for everything you have done. There is no word that can even describe the magnitude of the sacrifices. .

The hours after the tournament are tough.........

I knew I wasn't ready for this tourny. I just wanted to play. Many of you know what I mean,

I went from playing pretty good last night to just not being able to get it done.

I didn't get beat. I just lost. There is a difference.

I'm going back down to the room to see if someone wants to play. I need to start the long road back to being where i was at.

I have some new physical problems with my neck and headaches but I need to play through these. It's just part of who I am now. Hopefully it will get better soon.

I am leaving for Peoria tomorrow to see if i can find this guy that hit me. I hope i can find him. I need his insurance help. I will be getting some chiropractor help there also. I know that will help with the headaches for sure.

The good news about my tourny this weekend is I will have no nightmares about this or that shot that I missed that cost me the match.

There was so many of them the second day that there was too many to remember.

I got back to the room and looked in the mirror and have some terrible frown wrinkles. You kind of get used to a headache so you really don't realize how bad it is.

I hope someone will play. If not maybe I will give someone a Perfect Aim lesson.

Back to the drawing board.

One man a van and the road.........

Heading to Peoria tomorrow..........

I'm going to peoria to do what a few people told me was impossible. Find the guy that ran into me with his brown Jeep Wrangler.

I got a neck brace yesterday and i found that after about 30 minutes of wearing it my vision clears up. The blurred vision is from my neck. I don't know if this is possible but that is what's happening.

There can't be more than about 100 or so of those Wranglers in Peoria. I can't imagine it taking more than a week.

I got a room for a week to start out. If that isn't enough time I will stay another week.

In the meantime I will be doing lessons in Peoria,Illinois for a week or 2.

It looks like this neck thing is going to be long term. Got worse instead of better.

It feels so good to have the brace on. It gives allot of support. Too bad you can't play pool with it on.

The hardest part is holding my head steady when I'm down on a shot.

Had a dislocated shoulder and surgery about 3 years ago.

Had a motorhome fall on me about 2 years ago.

This rear end thing is turning out to be worse than I thought.

I'm going to find a good chiropractor while I'm in Peoria. I hope that will help.

Call me at 715=563-8712 to set up a time...........

Break through technique for opposite eye dominant players.......

The biggest problem with opposite eye dominant players is it's so dog gone hard to keep the dominant eye in the dominant position because it is very unnatural.

I was having trouble last night playing, one because of my neck trouble, but that was just the root of the problem. The biggest trouble was keeping the domonant eye in the correct position because my neck was really tired and the effort was difficult to sustain.

I played 3 racks in the final match is a tourny last night. Tired, my neck hurt but I stumbled onto the real problem. I couldn't keep my dominant eye in the correct position.

I put on my neck brace and got down on the shot and I could stay steady. I got a pair of scisors and remodeled the brace.

I not only could hold the line on the shot but I made every shot after that without ever losing the line.

I'm going to experiment woth this but if this will work the way I think it will it will help a player stay steady with the aim the same as a hunter leaning against a tree to keep the sight steady.

I know how huge this discovery is and can't wait to experiment with it some more.

I went from being very uncertain about the shot to having total confidence that it was going in the hole.

Another first hopefully from the same guy that figured out Perfect Aim.

Another first in pool.

Oh, and by the way. I don't think I will have any more shooting trouble. With this modified brace I could shoot and see the shot correctly with a broken neck. I can handle the pain. I've had lots of practice with that over the lasr 4 years.

I just need the eyes in the correct position and stay steady.

There might be a Tunica for me after all.

One man a van and the road.

Oh and by the way I am in Peoria for the next 7 days for sure. looking for a metalic brown jeep wrangle. Guy has short hair, about 5'7" and has a blond girlfriend or wife. I'm assuming girlfriend. Got rear ended by him. That's why I'm here but I can do afew lessons also.......

Any info please call me 715-563-8712.

I don't think so.............

Hi there billiy,
It sounds like we better do the phone lesson. I don't know when I will get up that way.

Looking forward to working with you......

Thanks again,,,,,,,,,

Had an interesting day here in Peoria......

No luck yesterday finding the Brown Jeep Wrangler but had something strange happening with the Police.

I went to the police station to get a copy of the police report. I wanted this so that if I'm seen sitting here or there I can tell the officer exactly what I am doing.

I went in the Peoria Police department and they couldn't find my report.

Turns out they left the H out of my last name and that was the problem.

While I was there I told the officer behind the desk that I saw a Jeep the day before and it was the right color but there was no damage to the bumper. As I looked at the license plate it looked pretty familiar. Like I had seen it before. I said I had it wrote down in the car. The last few letters were PCH I thought. But I told him I don't think it was the one. I couldn't remember the whole thing.

After I thought about it, I thought maybe they can bring up the owners picture and I could look and see if the guy was him. You never know, He might have fixed the bumper in the month that lapsed since the accident.

.So I went to the police station 4 hours later with what I thought was a good idea.

The officer behind the desk blew up on me calling me untruthful and with holding evidence. I tried to tell him he just didn't understand how I explained it earlier. he cut me off and raised his voice and said he remembered exactly what I said. He wouldn't even let me speak. he just kept cutting me off.

Then he says you need to appoligize to the officer that is coming in to check out this lead.

When the officer came in the guy in back of the window desk told me to go to the other side of the room as he explained to the officer how untruthful I had been and withholding evidence. . This was getting pretty rediculous. I started thinking it's a good thing this wacko is in back of the desk and not out on the street with a gun. In fact this is exactly why he's at a desk.

The officer and myself went outside by his car and he was real nice kind of appoligizing for the other guy by saying he has allot of people lying to him.

I told the officer i had no reason to lie about anything. He told me I totally agree.

It turns out the guy looks like the guy but is allot taller than I thought. He is 6'2".

The officer couldn't let me look at the picture. It might have saved him a trip to find the guy that was not necesary He told me that the only way I'm allowed to see pictures is in a lineup.

I can see where this would make their jobs really hard.

He told me he would call me with any results today. No call yet.

In the meantime I went down to the poolhall and played a little with our own, TrustRusty here on AZ. As with most of the AZers that I meet he was a real nice guy.

Then he turned me on to a little pool school setup over by TJ's Bar a grill. I guess you can pay at the bar and I guess you can play all day for $5 or $10. Sweet setup for the serious players here in Peoria.

Their little slice of heaven here in Peoria. .

Other than that Daves billiards is about all there is I think.

I went into a place over in Pekin about 30 minutes from Peoria. I heard they have 5 diamond tables there.

As I walked in the front door and up to the bar I noticed the distinct smell of a dirty ashtray. As I was ordering a drink the female bartender came over with my drink with a cig in here hand.

I told her immediately I was leaving because of the smoke. She replies, I can put it out. Like that is going to do any good. The second hand smoke is floating all over in there.
I turned and walked out.

Just from that 5 minutes in the bar waiting to order a drink and almost getting it I had already breathed in plenty of poisonous stuff. They did a study where they concluded that within the first 10 minutes the second hand smoke had already done the damage already as far as effecting your vital measurements of health. 20% depletion within the first 10 minutes. If she was smoking I guarantee that any customer that smoked would be lighting up also and has. How sad?

This is why it is so tough to go to a casino tourny where you have to walk to the casino to get to the non smoking pool playing area. Us people that have real bad trouble with the smoke get a big dose just trying to get there. But it's bad for everyone.

Then usually the smokers are right outside the tournament area smoking in a room designated for smoking.

Someday they will get it right but we're still in the stone age, ignorant stage of protecting peoples health from something as destructive as second hand smoke.

The sad thing is dead people don't complain. If they did the smoking laws would be really really strict.

But until then the cig companies and the people that smoke can just keep doing to the rest of the world what they feel like doing.

It's amazing how I was in a place in Cincy that is supposed to be non smoking. I'm playing pool and they let the players smoke there. A guy comes right over to me where I'm playing with his cig. Obviously I'm way over here to get away from the direct smoke. I say something to him about moving himself and his cig from me.

He said , Oh I'm sorry. If he was sorry he would abide by the non smoking laws in his city even though the pool room owner is breaking the law by allowing it..

The poolroom owner is allowing it because they're afraid they would lose a little money.

What about the non smokers that are going to lose their lives because of second hand smoke in that pool hall.

And in all reality cutting out the smoke will increase business in the long run. 90% of the population wouldn't go in that smoke a second time after one experience with it.

That's allot of people to mark off the list as potential customers.

One guy I talked to that was a customer there had his left lung removed from cancer. He just kind of accepts the fact if he wants to play pool he puts up with the smoke and when he talked to me he kind of minimized the fact that his cancer was caused from second hand smoke.

I told him that 90% of all lung cancer is caused from cig smoke. It's documented proof is all over the internet. 90%.

170,000 deaths in the USA per year from lung cancer. 90% cause directly from cig smoke.

About 49,000 of them are from second hand smoke. 49.000 documented deaths in the USA from second hand smoke. I'm trying not to be one of them.

So it's not all about having a right to do this or that in your business or with your own cigerrette but it's about flat out killing people that need to be protected.

Today i have a headache that is rediculous. Part from my whiplash but part from that stupid smoke I breathed in at that bar.

If I had known I would have never stepped in the door of that bar with those beautiful diamonds tables. What a shame?

Stay out of the smoke my friends. Your life and your friends lives depend on it.

many smokers are very curtious and try to keep the smoke away from other people.

I know that many of you would like to quit if you could. It's a terrible addiction.

I just want to say thanks for keeping your smoke out of the lungs of us non smokers.

Still in Peoria and still looking for the Brown Jeep Wrangler.

need to got back to looking.

One man a van and the road......... .

If Peoria has a lake, be sure to park out there and look, especially on the weekend. A lot of Wrangler owners like to sport with the top off on weekends soaking up the sun.

The other thing you could do is to call the body shops and ask if they replaced or repaired a bumper on a brown Wrangler in the last few weeks? If they act like they don't know or can't remember, talk a little formally and tell the next one that you are doing an investigation and talk a little quickly before they ask if you are a police officer and get the to question fast.....If that all fails, tell them the whole complete story and lay yourself at their mercy.

Great advice as usual..........

I CALLED ALL THE BODY SHOPS. No luck.

The police can't just pull up who has this kind of Jeep.they say.

I'll bet they could if someone shot someone?

Anyway, there's not much help there.

I have about 3 more days on my room here to look.

I've only seen about 2 that kind of fit the description.

Oh Well........

Thanks Joey............
