On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

It enjoyed it to the max there Daniel......

I had a chance to speak to Gene last night and learn some about PerfectAim. Very cool.
It was very helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to show and explain somethings for me. I plan to use it more. I am also looking forward to learning more.
Thanks.

Thanks for saying thanks........
I really enjoyed showing you this. Once you have this info and know where your eyes need to be and why other things in your game will be easier to understand.

Mainly because you can actually see what's going on much better.

And if you have any questions at all please call me. It's easy to forget.

Good Luck.........

Happy Hollow is where it's at this Saturday

Andy Kunz has a great little tour that skips around Wi. He does a pretty good job of creating some business and fun for the local players.

The Happy Hollow will be no exception.

It looks like players are coming from all over.

Starts at noon with the Calcutta and the tourney is right after that. If they get too many players they will have to finish it Sunday.

This place gets pretty busy on Sat night bit they do a real good job of keeping the non pool players out of the way.

Race to 7 9 ball alternating breaks. $40 entry. My guess with the Calcutta you could win about $1200 to $1500. Not bad........

It's only about 1 mile from my house so I really like that.

So if your looking for a tourney tomorrow come on down to the Happy hollow and have a great day of pool.

This is a real tough tourney because the valley tables play inconsistent. The biggest problem with valley is that after years of replacing cloth the consistency of the height of the rails is pretty bad. If the rail is too low the ball comes off the rail real hot and fast. if it's too low it kind of dies.

It makes it real tough to play pinpoint shape on some shots. You might hit the rail real soft and the next thing you know your up to the other end of the table and hooked.

Come on down.

One man a van and the road........

Got taught a nice lesson today......

Need to get on the bike and do a cardio for 30 minutes each day. There are no short cuts to getting in shape especially not moving enough. Playing pool is not really exercise.

After being in the smoke at Ho Chunk even though it was minimal the effects were devastating to my health and well being.

I have made a commitment to myself to do a full workout everyday for the next 2 weeks. I might even lose that 15 pounds again that I gained back.

I say this to try and motivate others out there to get on the move and get in shape also. Start out slow and work your way up to more.

You can't compete unless you can have some endurance.

The Hollow today was really packed. They have a smoking room built onto the bar. Unfortunately when they open and close the door the smoke trickles in. And on Saturday night it is just packed. Some day they will make the bars have some kind of clear AREA INBETWEEN THE SMOKING AND THE NON SMOKING AREA. I for one can tell you the system that these places have on their own is better than nothing but not getting the job done. There needs to be some kind of regulation to keep people safe from one of the biggest killers in the world. .

But if the smoke has been proven to cause 90% of all lung cancer how can it be good to just get a smaller dose. Like being a little pregnant or being a little dead or being a little sick. If it's proven to kill people we need to keep people safe where the law says no smoking. Not a half way effort.

If I get so sick from this smaller amount of smoke it can't be good for anyone.

Just like Ho Chunk a little smoke is just as bad as allot.

It's frustrating to get almost in tip top shape and lose it back in a couple of months and this dose of smoke the last week has made it all the worse.

I won't stop this time until I get there. If I have to skip a tournament I will if it means to get back into tip top form.

I can't play and I can't do lessons if I'm dead.

OK, I vented enough. :sorry:

Like I said, I hope I can motivate a few readers to get off their butts and do what I'm doing. Hope it will motivate even just one person to quit smoking for themselves.

If it got you going please share your new regiment.

One man a van and the road getting ready to go again.......

I'm looking at a motorhome on Monday.

One man a van and the road getting ready to go again.......?

I thought you now had a small car?

I might be pulling the little car with a 27 ft class C motorhome.

I'll have to change my signature line there for sure.

Let's see.

One man a van, just bought a motorhome pulling a little car on the road.

Needs more work. Just don't sound any good.

Any advice. Need to shorten it up for sure.

Hate to see the old van go. Allot of miles left in her. Someone here is going to get a big piece of history and doesn't even know it.

She still gives such a good ride.

Turn for the worse..........

"ON the road again."

"PERFECT AIM instructor, will travel."

The neck has gotten pretty bad. I don't know what the answer is but I've had 3 neuros tell me already that I need to get the ostinosis problem fixed with surgery. .

Checking out the solution. Don't know if I can keep playing or traveling and teaching right now. The pain is getting pretty ridiculous.

It feels like it would be pretty tough.

Can't stand sitting still........

Kind of funny in a way and I know I'm like most pool players.

We play pool until we can't even move. Then and only then do we take a break.

I lived with ice bags for 3 days. I pain is gone and I'm thinking about driving up to the Cities to play in a small weekly tourney.

The worst that can happen is I can use ice for a day or 2 again.

I want to go to Fargo this next weekend but only if I feel I can compete.

So I need to play.

I know I speak for so many of us pool players. Rain sleet or snow we get there to play pool. As far as physical it's about the same.

It takes allot for a pool player to not to show up.

The tourney is at 2 Stooges. See you guys there.

Be fun to see all the players and it's only about a 1 and 1/2 hour drive there.

What we do to play pool......;):rolleyes:

Just had some great fun.....

Had a message on my voicemail from Rich. I think he said he was from new Mexico.

Being 67 years old he has seen allot of stuff with pool and admitted to me that he has quite a collection of videos and instructional material.

Rich told my he wanted to know what I teach. I asked him if he could get to a table and he said it's right here.

I told him I'd run him through the Perfect Aim phone lesson.

Just like most players that have been around for a long time Rich was hardly believing what he was seeing. This was something he had never seen and he admitted that he could see it was right with his own eyes.

It was exciting for me to help Rich because he was so excited to learn. He sucked up the info like a sponge as soon as the words left my mouth.

His response to what I was showing him was almost like...........

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME................

I told him it is just the way that it is. This is the way the eyes work.

The lesson got cut short because a car drove through some fence of some property they owned and he had to go fill out some paperwork.

But I told Rich to call me back because he only knows the half of it.

The good news is I'm sure he will call back some day and I can tell him........................................The rest of the story......

Thanks Rich for making my day by helping you.........;)

No Fargo for me this weekend.........

My first planned tournament on my new On the road again trip will not happen.

My neck has been really bad for about 2 weeks now and I'm starting to think for sure that the neurologists know what they are talking about.

I tried to play with my son last night but had to quit after about 4 games. I could hardly get the balls up on the table.

I used a 10's unit to try and loosen up the neck and back but it didn't seem to help much.

Today I can turn the neck without terrible pain but it is still pretty restricted.

I have a couple of weeks before Four Bears and hope I can be in good enough shape to play and compete.

I've been slugging around trying to play with this trouble for about a year. If it stays this bad I will be having the surgery real soon.

In the mean time I've been doing allot of the Free phone lessons.

I will continue to help whoever I can.

I'm getting so many players calling that never called before because they are realizing that what I teach, Perfect Aim is the real deal.

Now is the time to call. No charge, just want to help players play this game better than they ever thought possible.

And right now I have the time for sure. 715-563-8712

Just give me a call. If I can't help you right at the time while your by a table I will get back to you at a time that will work for each of us.

This works for everyone............Perfect Aim.

We never stop learning.

Tonight I stumbled onto a great way to get ready for anything and numb yourself up to shooting in the cash just like any other ball.

I hadn't played for a couple of weeks and was having trouble finishing the matches.

You need to Bet a little money. Doesn't have to be much but something with a player of equal ability. Play set of 2 ahead for small amounts or bigger amounts .

What happens here is someone is on the hill almost all the time. So the money ball is getting shot at pretty often.

I played a good player tonight and we played races to 9 for $100. I was down 2 sets and we got to hill hill the 3rd set. I asked Tony if he wanted to play win by 2. He said sure.

After he won the set by 2 he asked me if I just wanted to play 2 ahead for $100. I was playing pretty bad because I hadn't played for 2 weeks trying to get healed up from some aches I have.

Someone was always on the hill it seemed and I got numb to the money ball. It was no big deal. Just another ball to pocket.

He wants to play some more like that tomorrow.

Great practice and this will get anyone ready for a tournament.

It just becomes another ball. No big deal.

Oh, and by the way I got back to even and Tony quit for the night.

I broke and ran the last 2 ahead set out.

Good luck and give it a try...............

This makes sense, except that you might not shoot in a two ahead set.
I like the idea of getting used to shooting at the money ball.

Imo that 'mini set' needs some rules...regarding luck... ie can't win on the break/2 in the back- 4balls to a rail etc/call at least the 9-... or just play 10b the right way. Otherwise flip coins for 100... same thing. You can throw 10 heads in a row within 20 min btw.

10 ball, rack your own and 10 doesn't count on the break

That's how we played. After an hour or so you are so intense on making the balls that you forget about missing because you might lose.

You just get focused in on each and every shot. You completely study every kick shot when your hooked with a great safety shot and you play a very focused safety game yourself covering all your possible avenues. You are always looking to play safe when your kicking at balls.

Each and every shot is so important. Not just the 10 ball but every ball has that huge pressure.

It intensifies every aspect of your game especially the mental part.

If anyone doubts what I'm saying here just try it. A player can think about things all they want but when you put yourself in this situation the results eventually will speak for themselves.

The table is pretty tight also. I broke and ran the last 2 games but this didn't happen for 2 hours.

10 ball on a tight table can be very challenging to say the least.

This table didn't rack very good either. Almost impossible to get a tight rack.

Great practice for putting yourself in a pressure situation all the time.

This is a great way to simulate playing a great player in a match for all the marbles.

For some players $20 would be enough to get the blood flowing. Others $100 and some maybe $1000.

But the main thing is your practicing getting there mentally for sure. Soon all that matters is trying to get the job done and focusing on the balls.

The money becomes a reason to intensify the focus and not deter.

Just can't play.......

I havn't even been able to do any lessons the last 4 days.

Neck, shoulders and upper back kind of froze up. I gave up on the chiro. Both arms get pretty weak sometimes.

Nick Varner tourney is not looking good for me right now.

Would have liked to go to the Beloit tourney tomorrow but I can't even imagine driving the 4 1/2 hours to get there.

When I got rear ended in Peoria about 11 months ago I couldn't even imagine this much trouble.

All week I've just been icing but it seems to have minimal effect on what's going on. But it sure feels good when it's on my sore spots.

The good news is I can still do lessons and help players.

I might even start doing some more Free phone lessons.

One man a little car and a real sore Neck.............

Benn nursing my neck for 2 weeks....

I'm loading up the car and heading to Denver for this great Nick Varner Classic.

If I can get the car loaded that is.

Then I need to fade the 16 hour drive.

I'm just as crazy as all the other pool players out there and just can't stand sitting in one spot so long.

Plus, I got allot of lessons to do.

See ya all in Denver.........

Tough Road the first day back...........

Wasn't going to Denver and had decided to not go.

Then i got 13 hours of sleep. It was like my body had said, that's enough. I'm going to help you feel better.

The neck is still very sore but not to the point where I can't hardly do anything. In fact my whole body is feeling a little stronger.

I not only need to see the neurologist when i get back but now I need to see a shrink.

I must had rocks in my head to take off to Denver in the shape I'm in to try and play in this tourny.

Oh well. Here we go...

I took off to Minneapolis. I didn't check the weather and it started to snow about half way there. It got pretty bad by the time I got to the Cities.

I was just going to go down Interstate 35 to 90 and then go west but my GPS told me to take Hwy 13 to 160 hwy so that is how I went.

Because it's getting warmer the salt trucks are not out in full force now like in the middle of the winter. They know it will just melt the next day.

At about 3:00AM in the morning i clipped the left shoulder of HWY 60 and got sent into a spin sending my into the median strip. After spinning 2 or 3 times I kept my head, results from my dirt track racing days, and hit the gas once in the median and tried to keep some speed to get out but I ran into a soggy watery spot.

Very luck that i spun out in a spot where there is nothing to hit.

I called a tow truck thru 911 and the guy showed up about 1 hout later only to tell me to just get in his truck. He said i was in the worst spot to be. Semis that come over the hill end up in the same spot when the black ice is on the road and it was black so I got in.

He told me I could ride with him to tow out the next customer or he could drop me off at the Super America and I can wait there. My neck is really getting sore and his truck is very rough to ride in so I opted for Super America.

He calls me back and says that he won't be able to get me out until the ice thaws when it's warm. At that time he will call the State Patrol and have them up at the top of the hill to slow down traffic. And replied fine.

After sitting there for about an hour I called him back and told him, Why don't you just pull me out from the other side of the road. that's up hill and would be much safer. He said no. He wouldn't do it.

Finally at 6:30 AM I called another tow truck. he came and pulled me out and there was no trouble. Cost $150 and the other guy was going to charge me $200.

But the problem here is now I havn't put on enough miles. i'm tired as all get out and I've only done 4 hours of a 16 hout trip to Denver.

I had to stop at a garage and get my wheels aligned. When the guy pulled me out he really wrecked the alignment. After the alignment the steering wheel shakes still.

Might put some new tires on it tomorrow.

So after the garage and dead tired I got a room at 2:00 PM just before Sioux Falls and just woke up now at 1:00AM. I was really tired and still feel wiped out.

Need to pack up and get to Denver.

Oh Yah, when I was cleaning off the mud the temp plate on the back of this little Aveo is half gone. You can no longer read the numbers. Just the tops.

I'm sure I will get stopped. I looked in the dash and realized I left my insurance info and paperwork for the car on the kitchen table.

This is going to cause me trouble for sure. I need to call Steve that I bought the car from and have him send me another temp plate to Felts in Denver.

Never a dull moment on the road. This whole event was a total nightmare.

Now I need to drive the last 11 hours, get a room and see if i can get rested play half ways respectable.

The Nick Varner Classic here in Denver is a great event.

But no matter what I will be doing some lessons there after the tourny.

I almost turned back but I guess I'm just as nuts as the rest of us pool players.

See ya all there.

One man a little car, still alive and the road.............
