Warning to those of you who might use Rural Road in Tempe , Az. to go to and from Kolby's. SPEED TRAP on Rural Road. They got me on camera going 52 in a 40 zone and it is costing me $171.00.
If you read this, Fast Lenny, I want you to know that I would much rather have lost that money to you playing one-hole.

I came across the same situation here in Mississippi recently... it's costing me $196.00

If you are in a area that has photo tickets, buy those plexiglas photo blockers that they sell for 20.00-25.00 bucks. After my 178.00 ticket in AZ, I put them on. Twice I have driven thru a photo set up, seen the flash and never received anything in the mail. Both times in around Tonto area and was going about 60 in a 45.

Yeah, that photo camera has been there for years! They have come and gone all over the valley in recent years!

The spray can reflection stuff works really well!

Actually if you are mailed a photo radar ticket in Phoenix Az....it's not 'enforceable' according to Az state law. You have to be 'handed' or served with the summons in person.

They can't prove you received the summons thru the mail.

If you live outside of Phx, odds are they aren't going to hire a process server to track you down. You have 90 days from issuance of summons, till it's null and void.

Got this info straight from a Phx policeman. AFTER getting a complimentary portrait sent to me last year. I was on the way back home to Tucson from a DCT event. FLASH........

Didn't answer my door without peeking for a few weeks......

As Rick said do not pay it unless your served in person, nothing will happen and it will be thrown away, lets play one pocket.

I go at this wrong

:confused:Some of my run ins with the law:

Parking in handicapped zone at a public park. (Late officiating softball game-game time) $270.

Driving alone in carpool lane.(traffic stopped-changed lanes to avoid collission) $471.

No seatbelt. Lap belt yes/chest-no. $75.

Driving while distracted (leaky macho burrito) $125.

DUI (1.1/1.0). (court/lawyer/fines/insurance increase)$5-7000.

Car pool lane (alone) on freeway on ramp(left turn arrow put me in that lane). $471.

I pay the fines/costs.

I don't repeat the offense.

If I screw up/get busted/I pay-then very likely modify my behavior.

I am going at this all wrong.

The solution is do the speed limit. It is there for a reason. I live in the Detroit area of Mich. In the summer time some idiot ignored that the speed limit dropped to 50 MPH from 70 on the freeway. He lost control of his car. Slammed into a fuel tanker and the truck exploded. A overhead bridge was wiped out. It was recently repaired and just put back into service (money lost). Fortunately no one was killed. The cost to replace the bridge was in the millions. There were many firefighters that risked their lives. The freeway was also blocked off for some time as the pavement was destroyed. It also cut off access for many residents that relied on it to cross the freeway to the schools and businesses. Because of the insurance laws in MI they were only liable for about $100,000. So it cost us tax payers money that our state cannot afford. The driver got off with about a $150 fine for relectless driving and he tried to fight it.

No sympathy from me.

No siht!

I ask not for your or anybody else's sympathy. As a matter of fact I was warning others to not exceed the speed limit on Rural Road.

Rick is a Photographer, not an Attorney! Think I would pass on his FREE LEGAL ADVICE, and see Professional Help.

Googling How to Beat Arizona Photo Radar Tickets has a bunch of advice. Not sure if any is correct.

Best Advice is to drive the Speed Limit or Under!!!!

If 12310bch played you One Pocket for GREEN Fast Lenny it would be foolish IMHO, as he just as soon send you the Money Via Pal Pal, as IMHO there is no way 12310bch could win with any spot.

I know he is not an attorney but he certainly knows what majority of people in Arizona know an that is not to pay the ticket unless you get served in person.

He wants 10-6 and we agreed to it, we are not playing for a lot of money but enough to make us both play. I am unsure how you can say no matter what the spot is he cannot win, I am not Scott Frost and even if I was he could give up enough wait to lose. Are you saying if I gave you 10-5 you could not win?

So have you personally use this advice, or are you guessing it work. It is a subject of talk radio all the time.

Photo Radar is all about GREEN, and IMHO should be outlawed.

Also the law says you are entitled to face you accusser in court, how the heck can a camera come to court, and testify????

I have seen you play, and seen him play. You playing on his turf, or does he have to come to TEMPE. His turf has WiFi NOW!!!!

IMHO this match up would be live me coming to Tempe, and playing in Preacher Ron's Tourny. I would be only there to DONATE, and go home lighter in the Wallet.....!!!!
