Once again, buyers beware...this sale was a ripoff attempt!!

This guy has no clue what he's getting into, here's his responce:

Why don't you tell the world how much you are charging her to install the table? Who is the rip off artist now? What a crook you are. I don't understand why you can't assemble a simple table like a Gold Crown. Parts are interchangeable and the table was in play in my pool hall just as it is. Any mechanic worth his salt can easily improvise any installation like this. You keep ranting about this and you will be sued for libel. You have solicited others to post your claim on the web site and you are overcharging a nice lady for installing her table. You should be ashamed of yourself....

because that's NOT the POINT!

RKC, your response was perfect.
yáll take screen shots of everything & save to hard drive, for documentation.
and, Ebay does NOT like to get these kind of reports.
nor, should AZB if he's allowed to sell here.

good luck & keep us posted!

In this picture, you can see how close the top edge of the ball box mounts to the rail.

Port City Antiques= You better know what you're talking about when you make libelous comments about me. Just because some incompetent table mechanic doesn't know how to improvise an installation does not make me a liar. Anybody who responds in any negative way to that post will be subject to a libel suit.

This was posted on his Facebook page. I have called you many names during our long friendship but incompetent has not been one. lol

That is F'n CLASSIC right there.... :D

I cannot even get onto the FB page. It does not even attempt to load and just goes to my own local page.

I also went to the above website for this place and was offered to buy the web address for $9:99. I was worried it might be broken or missing parts so I passed.

classic!

so let me ask yáll this, cause i don't know & i don't do the For Sale section:

1) is this guy an AZB member who sells?
2) does he pay for advertising w/ AZB?
3) moreover - is he GOLD?
4) if so, then can't AZBers give RED rep/negative ITRADER points...?
5) and - can't we do the SAME thing @ Ebay?

just asking

I'll ask one more time before I decide the "victims" would prefer to moan than to try and do something about the situation.

Was the table purchased on eBay?

Was it paid for through PayPal? If "yes" how was the payment funded?

When?

Thanks

Kevin

Ebay, for some bizarre reason, won't allow folks that aren't parties to the transaction, post their opinions.

Glen asked me to post some pics here for reference.
These pics are not from the table being discussed, they are just pics to illustrate the difference between tables in how the skirts are attached.

more to come...

I would be embarrassed to post pictures of a pool table that looked like that. You can see stringer is missing, but how about the picture of the corner pocket. Does the cloth fit nicely on the rails or what? I wonder if all the wrinkles were an extra charge when thew table was recovered.

But, that was the add Wendy responded to buying the table, but that's not even the table she recieved, yet the add is still up selling the same damn table to new potential buyers;)

From Jerry to me:

You are cheating that lady out of hundreds of dollars for work you invented in order to make money off of her. That table is a gold crown 3 and if it has aprons from a gc2 I was never aware it it. All gold crown parts are virtually interchangeable with a little improvising and you apparently are not capable of that. The stabilizer is on the way but the correct term for it is 'stretcher'. Served almost no worthwhile purpose as you imagine but simply is for looks. You have to get two bolts with nuts to fasten the stretcher to the pedestals. Think you are capable if that?

uhhh...Jerry, it's GC3 rail skirts and GC2 rails, if you need to try and remember which table you sold Wendy, just take a look at the ebay add you're still running, THAT is a GC3 buddy.

PS. It requires 4 bolts and 4 nuts with washers, 2 at each end to bolt the stretcher/stablizier to the legs not 2, get it together Jerry. If you don't know what in the hell you're selling, then get the hell out of the business and stop selling pool tables that are different than what the customers are recieving!

mid Dec, 2013 the same ad was on eBay, I contacted seller, had me pay pal 1/2 funds to him as gift, not through eBay, paid other half cash on delivery of table, plus the delivery charge, , i did ask if this was all the parts, and was assured it was all complete. the parts sat where delivered until Glen arrived a few days ago.. then Glen saw right away, the parts were not complete and the parts that were here were mis matched. After Glen contacted the Seller Jerry Fredrick " portcitypoolguy" several times the seller says he is sending the center stabilizer. Much thanks to Glen for his knowledge and tenacity in making a unfair and misrepresented sale some what right. We need some kind of consumer guidelines/ protection so other don’t get ripped off. His ad on eBay now has several offers already.
I will make a list of each part with pictures as Glen puts this table together and post it here as a resource for others picking up disassembled Brunswick. And yes, the rubber on the rails delivered was old crumbly Brunswick super speed with the little picture of the Brunswick man. Certainly not "recent cushions". The parts delivered were not what was pictured in the ad.. Glen is a really great guy to straighten out this mess, and persuade the seller to ship the missing center stabilizer. More to follow when promised part arrives...

A big THANK YOU to Donny aka SDBilliards for the GC3 rails you shipped out to Wendy in order to help me clean up this mess she's in, they just arrived today. I'll be bringing the GC2 rails back to your shop when I head down your way soon, and once again...thank you Donny. Now, all I have left to get is the leg stablizier, hopefully Jerry's word does mean something in helping to clean this mess up as well, I spoke with him earler today and he informed me that it was shipping out today by USPS and is suppose to arrive on Friday. Wendy may just have a real GC3 to play on afterall very soon:D
