Once and for all!

agreed. you can get that from reading a pool magazine or a book. The entire premise behind a forum is to voice opinions on subject matter related to the forum topic with others that share that interest. In my opinion this thread delivers that. I choose to use humor in some of my posts because I find that humor makes me happy and helps me enjoy my life, which is great. I am probably the happiest person I know. I love interacting with other posters on a daily basis and have made a lot of friends that I hope to meet one day. This thread embodies what the forum is suppose to be about IMO. Not everyone is going to have the same opinions, and that is ok.

This thread also delivers blatant disrespect to a portion of the billiards community. This thread targets the people playing, instead of the actual game. Discuss how to attack a shot, not how to demeanor female players.

40 years ago, nearly no woman shot pool or risked being anything other than a housewife for that matter. The fact you all have Karen and Allison as household names now speaks for itself- the women can shoot and do something more with their lives. Give it more time, and if pool survives the nosedive the community is in now, (jea, I wonder why people think pool players are shady jackasses?), probability says that more strong woman players will emerge.

The gaping hole in your logic is that pro pool competion is not based on 7 or 8 ahead for a week straight. It is short races. As for saying it would be 500-0 in your hypothetical format.....that is simply nuts. You dont think Allison or Karen can run 3 play safe and run 4 1 time out of 500? Do you ever actually watch the women play?

No one will convince me there 500 better players on earth than Allison or Karen. That is with the stipulation that play occurs under WPBA tournament conditions (because that is what they play) not some gaffe dirty cloth trick table in your home room. I would be willing to bet that more than a few of the strong gambling players who are a favorite over the women may come up short under the lights and cameras in a short race.

Apples and hand grenades.

How would you compare Karen and Allison to SVB,Efren, Franco and a whole host of others?
I think they would rate as shortstop speed at best compared to the above.. Now, how many people on the planet play less than a ball under them? My guess is hundreds. 500? I'm not sure, but, there are a lot tof them.

I'm not too sure of how fair the comparison is, but I've seen guys beat Vivian who wouldn't rate in the top 1000. But, could Allison or Karen give Vivian a ball and win? I think not.

And you call yourself logic????

What is it with the absolute statements? You are saying Annika could NEVER EVER beat Tiger? I would doubt even Tiger would make that bet. What, Tiger cant fire a 76 on a bad day? As I recall Annika has shot 59....add 15 strokes for conditions and length....and it is still not plausible?

Don't get me wrong...I am betting on Tiger ....but if the bet is they play 50 times and tiger has to win them all....I bet the other way.

I'd bet that if they played 50 days in a row with something on the line, Tiger would beat her EVERY day. I think it's better than an even bet.

Tiger shot a 76 in the Open, with the flu, in a blizzard, with 35+ MPH winds...and still finished 12th or something. Annika would have been lucky to break 90 under those conditions on that course from those tees.

If they played from the same tees, it's a very long shot for her to beat him.

She'll be hitting 3-woods into long par 4s and he'll be hitting 8-irons. It's not a fair fight.

There are women who can match up better with Tiger because they hit it longer than Annika. But I would still bet on Tiger to win at least 48 of 50.

I would have to see the course conditions before I made a bet that TIGER would win EVERY time...

As the course gets longer and the greens get harder...my bet sways to TINGER...

If you put them both on a shortish super tight course with greens no more that 12 on the stimp...Annika has good chance to pull of a 1 in 50 win.

I was just making a joke.....

I was just making a joke becuase I foudn it Ironic that someone who called themself LOgic would confuse an adjective with a verb and now it looks like this thread is gonna start back up again full fledged. Oh well. on with the games.

Jaden.

I'm off to play some pool.....

Yes, thank you for the correction, I was thinking of a championship length course (7200+ yards) but I didn't clarify that :)
