Working on this GC3 would be the easiest GC there ever was to recover, pocket plates unbolt freeing up the pocket to pull the flaps down and under the slate, bolt them back in place and the pockets are done right then and there...no need to staple anything on the slate...LOL
I did it because...well, aahhh....hmmm...."I had a dream"...lmao...more of a nightmare as it turned out, but I like I said...it's a one of a kind. I guess the real reason I did this table this way was just to see how it would turn out in the end, and Rick was a great customer to do it for, as he was very patient waiting on me to get to his house with the table, and the week I stayed at his house working on building out this one of a kind.
So, to me it was more than likely just the challenge because no one had ever done something like this before...ever

Those corner pocket shelves look especially deep!
Like to see someone take so much pride in their work. Table mechanics around here treat it like a chore that they're hoping to wrap up as soon as possible. You seem to feel like each table is your baby and must play perfect.
Just FYI glen if you ever wrote a book on how to do this job properly, I'd buy a copy in a heartbeat.

That's why I said this table was 50% Brunswick and 50% DiamondSorry It took so long to chime in...but I was busy playing...*S*...
When Glen told me a little over 4 months ago what he wanted to do...I thought for a minute and said sure....and this is the result...It took a little over a week to complete and plenty of sweat but I have to say I am the proud owner of RKC masterpiece table...I really dont think he can top this

Mark, as I told you the phone, to take the pocket blocks out all that one needs to do is remove the 2 bolts that hold them in place, then just slide them straight out, you can see the bolts in these pictures taken from under the table.
I worked on a Delmo 9ft home style table once...LOL

I'm not sure but I think that is against BCA rules. I guess it's okay though, as I doubt you will be sponsoring any BCA events from out of your house.

hmmm, then Diamond's must be against BCA rules too I guess, because this GC3 has the exact same slate/pocket and rail specifications as a brand new Diamond 9ft ProAm...used in most all major tournaments today
