Obvious trolling only gets you so many responses so fast, you have to be a bit more patient there sir. (y)

I’m two railing the 5 into my pocket with bottom left on the cue ball , spreading the balls out and running out !!!!
…And still no one will shoot the 11 3 rails…how about the 7 2 rails? You’ll move it towards your pocket and get the cb back down easy? Or even just sink the 7 with some left and come straight back down.

And on this for Bigkat you want to put a bit more left on it to get the 4 on your way back pushing it to the rail leaving 2 2 railers for you to shoot at later….

That's crazy talk. Unless there is somebody out there that for some reason only plays two rail banks (and a lot of them) and hasn't shot a one rail bank in years, I find it hard to believe that it is a higher percentage shot for anybody to back cut that steep angle five ball for a two rail bank than to one rail that much better angle four ball.

But even if by some miracle you are close to the same odds for making either shot, the four ball is essentially a free shot that leaves your opponent little if you miss, likely leads to more balls if you make it, and leaves you in the driver's seat in control of the game right now either way, while the two rail steep angle bank on the five ball blasts open the stack leaving all the balls and the cue ball who knows where, and if you make the five who knows whether you will have another decent shot or not, and if you don't make it there is a pretty decent chance you sell out the whole game to your opponent. Risk reward says the shot choice between these two isn't a close call.

But if we ever play, for sure the two rail bank on the five is the right choice, definitely is, go ahead and shoot it lol.
We could play that game over and over and over for 24 hrs, you shoot your shot , we finish the game then set it up again I shoot my shot finish the game and repeat !!!! Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purely defensive: thin off the 5 and bring whitey back to the foot rail. For a dual purpose shot (my preference), softly stun off the left side of the 5 to position it toward my pocket, leaving whitey against the 1 and 13.

Here’s a short video to help you all out. Jennifer Barretta says she can sink it 20 times in a row wherever the cue ball or object ball are…….well the kick anyway.

All right guys. Since you won’t take the amateur’s advice and shoot the 11-3rails I’ll give you some professional assistance. Here’s a short video to help you out. Jennifer Barretta says she can sink it 20 times in a row…….well the kick anyway.
If you take the 11-3 rails you are golden.
Its nice that you found a one of the many 3-rail bank videos on YT. Since this is your thread, your game, and you playing yourself - how about you set up the table again and go shoot that shot and tell us how it works out? There might just be a few balls in your way brother.

Haha. I know I got lucky. I think Bobs version has the 4 and 14 a little closer to the side pocket than they were. But when you take a picture with an iPhone it has that spatial adjusting thing on it. And I was practicing my banks beforehand or probably wouldn’t have gone for 11. On Bobs I don’t know if it goes.

Can you explain where you aimed the 11 on your table to go 3 rails and end up where it did
And what english you used on the cue ball
Thanks
This thread has been fun
Thanks 👍

The plan was to shoot the path around 12 and then around 4/14. That’s all I was focused on doing. Just get around them without contact. Was feeling the shot. Thought the 11 was going to go to the middle of the stack initially not where it ended up. So hit 11 as full as I thought I could with a throw(bottom left) around 15. I was just aiming to get around the 15 and not a specific spot. It went around all 3 balls without contact. I wasn’t trying to make 11 just move by the pile with a hard enough stroke to get cb back down past the 5. It didn’t make it down enough. That was my first attempt and it worked out ok or there wouldn’t have been the follow up picture. From where it stopped between 3 and 6 looks like the 11 was on its way. I’ll set up again tomorrow and verify.

Was waiting for Garczar to say only on a Centurion. Or now try on GC. Lol. That guy loves tearing me up!

Known this for 30 years. It works 💯!!!! It’s basic knowledge, it’s not her trick

thanks for the reply
the 4/14 looked huge to me to get the 11 heading near the pocket

Some of us figured out the whole game by ourselves. Just like the full rack banks break I figured out myself earlier. A safe break that’s only safe for 1st shot. There’s probably videos on it. Never seen them. Mine is nothing like a 1 pocket break. This was the first time I ever saw a video on 3 rail shot. Good to know it works

Here is a whole website full of stuff -- including bank shots -- that you need to know about pool but probably don't. It's got lots and lots of videos with additional explanation. Good luck with your game.

Hey I’m in an intense game of one pocket with myself right now. I’m down (-1)-0. Already took the scratch once. So if it was you. You’re shooting to the right side pocket(right side in picture) now. What’s your shot?

So I see nobody likes my shot....cut the 5-ball in...high with a touch of left.
..maybe it’s because I came from snooker....within a week of taking up one pocket, I was ahead financially.
...came up with some adventurous 8 n outs while I was learning.
TRex made it a style

This is what the shot looks like in VP in isolation. (I don't want to spend the time to get all the other rack balls perfect.) As you can see from how far the cue ball goes, it doesn't require all that much force. It is a thinner cut than most like. It is a chance to win the game immediately and the cue ball is unlikely to scratch after multiple kisses with that relatively low speed. Of course the side pocket scratch is out of the equation due to the other rack balls. I'm still banking the 4.:giggle:
