good question... feel like being a trail blazer...?Why do 'Millions' of 3C players still use 'Closed Bridge' if there are so many advantages to an Open Bridge?
I'm waiting for a 'Logical' answer first.good question... feel like being a trail blazer...?
You do realize a closed bridge literally has no effect on the mechanics of a 'power' draw shot
Why do 'Millions' of 3C players still use 'Closed Bridge' if there are so many advantages to an Open Bridge?
A 'Written Reply' to my question would be more helpful.A closed bridge has no effect on any shot during the hit, as described and demonstrated here:

See the "If the open bridge has so many advantages, why is it used so seldom in 3-cushion billiards?" section here:

Have you watched the Hendry video? If not why do you comment on tits content?Hendry is wrong about taper being the reason for choosing open/ closed bridge if that's what all that says.
'Pool Players' (the tradition was closed bridge) in this country did Not primarily use Open Bridge till 'Snooker' became more highlighted here! Here's the pertinent answer on the page:
Most 3-cushion players use a closed bridge probably mostly out of custom or tradition, and because that’s how they learned or were taught by others. Also, many of them do not have low stances, so one of the main open bridge advantages does not apply (an unobscured view). Also, due to the heavier CB, the shaft might be more likely to leave an open bridge after the hit when striking the CB off center (which they tend to do a lot), and some people might find this disconcerting.

I am lately taking just the last 4 inches of my jump/breaker down to the Snooker size. My eyes seem to like it better or is it the part of the brain? Anyways I can feel more precise in my strike to the white. Whether it is or not is unknownTips of different diameters are equally precise - they just look different doing the same thing.
