Oscar Dominguez and Justin Bergman

Well I am afraid 12 games on the wire would have been about right. I have been in a slump myself and it sukcs. Oscar will shine again.

Someone give a summary please for those of us unable to watch. Who played well etc. Always interested in the analysis of our forum members. Thanks

Iceberg runs balls after the break as good as anybody on the planet imo

Once he got in stroke he ran out from everywhere

The only thing holding Justin back is his break.

Oscar rattled a few key shots...it could’ve been a close match.
I know he plays on tight tables, but he played like he was used to 4.5 inch pockets.

Didn't watch the match, but I have seen Oscar run out some crazy racks and play lights out on tight tables. He must have been off his game with a final score like that …..

Needs another boot camp?

Lou Figueroa
someone had to say it :-o

Geesh. We need to get this Bergman guy on the US team...Heck maybe Justin just needs to start taking out the members one by one...think Johan would take notice? Maybe we should spam his email with WAR BERGMAN! Emails...

Tight, tough table. I watched Justin play Louie D the night before and he won handily but they both missed a lot of shots and he looked rusty. Seemed much more comfortable last night. Oscar didn't stand much of a chance and missed too many shots. His speed was also off leaving him straight in on too many balls. I don't think he ever got comfortable and was visually frustrated. It didn't help that Justin was getting out from everywhere. He has got to be one of the best tough shot makers i've ever seen. Nearly every time he took on a super tough shot instead of playing safe he made it and most of the time they were center pocket. Very demoralizing to your opponent playing on a tight table. Oscar might fare a little better tonight with a fresh start and being more familiar with the table, but i don't see him getting there or even close. JMO

The tight pockets should certainly not be a problem for Oscar. I'm not aware if he's moved away from near his Dad's residence in outside of LA recently, but I know their home poolroom setup is quite impressive - containing a variety of extremely tight tables for Oscar to practice on, including a Diamond 7-footer, a Diamond 9-footer and and I think a Gold Crown as well, all with pockets and subrails re-worked by Ernesto to 4-inches or less!

With that said, I think it would be very unlikely Oscar could recover from a drubbing like yesterday's set (25-14) to win today's session. Maybe if he'd lost a closer set, but mentally right now both players are in completely different zones and it would be very hard to change that momentum overnight. I hope I'm wrong.
