Oscar Dominguez in UK tabloids, not good.

I noticed the players weren’t mic’d today:thumbup:

More likely the production crew were thinking - mic on and off for only 1 match, why bother go to all the hassle , will be over in30 mins tops

So..... are you deliberately choosing to be ignorant for the sake of argument, or do you genuinely not know what rape means?

When consenting adults have rough sex, or slow sex, or upside-down sex or any other kind of sex, nobody is being raped! It has literally nothing to do with the type of sexual activity being engaged in. It's a criminal act that can deeply affect the wellbeing of victims for the rest of their life. It frightens me to think that some of the people defending his comments - which he has publicly apologised for, which the commentators immediately apologised for - don't actually understand why it was a stupid thing to say.

Sorry but you need to keep up with the times. Now days a woman can catch her nut and be ready for immediate sleep and if dude won't stop that very second it's violent rape. No means no for christ sakes!

It's a girly man world and getting more pansy every day.

ESPN is soft, they removed Day 3 from the replays available to watch. Day 3 was our best day and the only one really worth rewatching. I'm annoyed by this.

And now you see why image matters. Clean up the sport and it will be a good step in the right direction.

Look at how the NFL has fallen. Concussion stuff, anthem protest, domestic issues. The NFL isn't what it was 10 years ago. It is still the most popular sport in the states, but it is on a downfall because of those things. Same reason why pool isn't bigger than what it is.

I can't believe they can't just dub that out and still have Day 3 up for replay.
I'm trying to find the full match between Shane and Shaw including the players walking down the stairs.

That's a little too strong of a message sent by ESPN. It's like we won't spend a minute of someone's time to make an edit, we'll just cut the whole thing. As they say though, you don't get to pick the consequences.

They answer to their sponsors, so for anyone excusing this or thinking what's the big deal, there is your answer.

The NFL is worth way more than it was 10 years ago. You shouldn’t make up facts to support your decision. I also agree that image matters. I think his comment was hilarious, but also agree that it shouldn’t have been said. Everyone knows that there are PC police out there who are searching for things to be offended by, and that if you give them an inch, they’ll try to ruin you.

Really doesn't hurt MMA one bit there's a market fore everything, I claim need more not less of it and the reason pool has fallen isn't the image it's the church like settings the game is played in except this one and it dwarfs any other event in viewership and that's largely because of the hostile environment period '

A pool player makes an of color remark and it's the end of the world, ESPN pulls the video. But Ray Lewis is now a tv analyst. And how many NFL football players are convicted of crimes each year?

Way too many snowflakes with thin skin.

And it is things like pulling day 3 that is causing espn to lose subscriptions at a higher rate than ever (according to recent news). I haven't watched espn since they fired Schilling, and I never will again. Same for the nfl. I haven't watched one play since they all started crying about their feelings and the unfairness of it all.
Screw espn. 75-90% of their sports coverage focused on the east coast anyway.

He's a Pool Players! Our President has said much worse!

You go around Mic'ed all week and see what you say!

"Let he who is without foul, throw the 1st Pool Ball!

A nicer guy is hard to find! Terrible, great husband and Father!

Also the definition of Rapist!
Rapist. noun. Law: One who commits the crime of rape.
In Speech: One who abuses something or treats something improperly: rapists of the land.

euro fan here. i laughed. my kind of humour i guess. thorpes comments about the referees racking were imo worse

but yea, bad idea to mic the players. after several years with earl they ought to know better

The UK is angry over an American saying "touch of a rapist", but the brits go around saying "Oi, mate, let's go suck a fag." instead of "let's go smoke a cigarette" and they think that's fine...lol

Blue Jam...do you really think he's praising rape here...seems to me he's dissing it.
...the @#%# PC world is hearing what it wants to hear.

Geniepool is still playing it...turn the sound up and then find a safe place to cry...

The irony to this whole episode is that Oscar is one of the most upright characters in the pool world. He and his dad are outstanding.

The PC thing is getting so out of hand that its hurting good people.

I’d be surprised if Oscar is actually hurt by this. He made a televised mistake, apologized for it and in all likelihood will be forgiven for it wherever it matters.
