Small $, loser pays time is cool action. Time & $20 race to 9, that used to be the standard small afternoon action in the 80’s.

$100 and over sets was usually winner lays time. Unless the game broke out even. Then split the time.

If you are playing $5000 sets and win-you ALWAYS pay the time and tip out the house man.
