Pardon the OT post, but this is an FYI to sellers who care about maximizing their chances of selling: Photobucket sucks big-time on mobile devices.

They overlay animated ads which have to be watched to the end before closing, their interface to browse multiple pics is clumsy and frustrating, and they disable pinch-to-zoom.

I've reached the point to where if I click on a pic and it starts to load in Photobucket, I immediately hit the Back button and don't bother.

If you don't want to use the forum's built-in image hosting (which looks awesome on the iPhone Tapatalk app), at least use a non-evil and fast-loading free image host like imgur.com.

A final note: if you think mobile users aren't worth worrying about, AZ mobile traffic is currently over 16% and growing: https://www.quantcast.com/azbilliards.com. I know that for me, at least, I spend 10X more time on AZ with my iPhone than with my laptop.

You posted in a wrong forum.
Unless of course, you are selling anger and frustration.
Sounds like you have plenty of both.
Chill Out man.

I can see Photobucket pix on my iPhone just fine.
Works on my Nook HD+, also, and I believe it is Android based. And yes, I can zoom in on them. The ads are the price of "free"...upgrade to Photobucket Pro if you don't want ads.

I can see them on my Iphone and Ipad just fine too..........although, I cant see them on Android devices. I have a droid that I use when I'm not at home to use my Ipad or PC.

There are many pics that I can't see on my droid and it is quite frustrating.

It opens in the Photobucket mobile site, and I'm unable to zoom in to it, making it impossible to see fine detail in the pic.

Some of the icons I can open on my droid and some I cannot open.
The ones that will open in PhotoBucket only open for about 2 seconds and then they go away. I only get a glimpse of some and see nothing on the others.

Opens up for a second in a new browser. Then it does to some crappy ad.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.

That's fine but when you link an album from there it has ads EVERYWHERE its annoying...

Works perfectly using tapatalk. Click on the pic it enlarges no problem. I do the same thing for rand pics embed from pb because they provide the embed links already done. If showing a case for sale I use my own site and do the links myself.

I think part of the problem is that there is often no common experience. Tapatalk for example does not work exactly the same on my Samsung as it did on my Motorola.

Add to that that we all have different apps and any of those apps could be interfering with any other apps.

The op's point is valid though. Posting with mobile users in mind is more and more important.

I have the same experience as the author and basically do the same thing he does. I m not gonna watch an ad everytime I wanna see a picture and I'm not gonna pay for pro to see pics of something I might wanna buy.

I know the problem.

You need to update your Tapatalk software.

I had the same problem with my older Tapatalk function but now it's good. Maybe it's still happening to older Tapatalk versions, now i'm using Tapatalk 2 and it's fine on my iPhone and iPad.

Also the other problem is after Photobucket updated their site the links of the photos are way longer if you notice them. They use to only link Images, but now they've added a "URL" link. Meaning once you click on them you're automatically sent to Photobucket as opposed to being able to zoom on them. Photobucket added this function and older Tapatalk did not have a way to counter this but to bring you to a new URL. However there are 2 solutions to this.

1) Remove the "URL" portion of the image link when using Photobucket to link images. (To be done by Poster).

2) Update Tapatalk. Cos Tapatalk found out about this problem and has provided the option to view image on Tapatlk itself or be brought to the website.
