He is now banned. Just a thought here, but if he was never welcome,
could you refund him the money back, run another raffle, and just let one
more willing person buy his slot? Again, just a thought. I believe that if he
was never welcome here, he should not have had the right to buy a slot in
the first place. Just thinking out loud.

IMO he should get the prize he won. He's reaped, and will continue to reap, what he's sown. He's prolly already back under a new ID so i'd be carefull dealing with an "unknown" on items of significance.

How you handle this awkward situation will set the standard for future issues like this. Good luck to you.

Keep his money, perhaps distribute it to the people who were screwed by him, and then reraffle his spots! :D

Personally, I would refund his money and sell the spot to a LEGIT AZ member and hold the raffle again.

Russ....

The only problem that I see with this is if you return his money
thru Paypal, he may cause a stink with them. If he causes a big enough
stir, the fact that we are running raffles here might get some un needed
publicity, and cause trouble for the site.

You are 100% correct. My decision will probably set a precedent if this ever happens again.

At the time cuerepair1969 won my raffle, in the eyes of AZBilliards.com he was a member in good standing. I have decided that I will ship him the case to the name and address he provided me thru PM before he got banned.
Just so it be known, I was the one who spilled the beans on him (it doesn't really take a rocket scientist to figure it out) and that is why i wanted a third party involved. I will send the item he won myself and keep all necessary documentation to cover my a*s.

Some of you folks may not like this decision but in this case, I am the JUDGE, JURY and EXECUTIONER.

You are correct, it is your decision. You need to clarify one thing. You say he was a member in good standing at the time he won the raffle, but you seem to be saying you knew he was a banned member when you received payment for his spot. That is in direct conflict with your decision, since you are the one who outed him. Please take time to explain.

Your raffle, your decision!!

I only found out it was him after the raffle had concluded. I was looking for the ship to address on his Paypal payment and that is when I saw his name Jeffrey Forney. I remembered a thread about an incident with jforney36 so I did a search on all posts made by him and this is when I discovered that it was indeed one and the same person. It was at this time that I sent a PM to runout1961 informing him who cuerepair1969 actually is.

well dang it. i wanted to win that case and some dude that shouldn't have it is the winner. that stinks. i guess i didn't have 11 anyhow but it still stinks

If he had lost the raffle would you have returned his money at this point?

If the answer is 'no' then you need to just send him the case like you would to anybody who won..

I need help here guys. Cuerepair1969 was the winner of the raffle I held yesterday, I will most certainly ship him the GTF case since he won it fair and square. Can I get a third party involved in this transaction to avoid any issues that could potentially occur. I will pay the escrow fee, maybe Fast N Loose can chime in.

I agree. He should get the case. I know others are questioning if he was eligible however if he paid his money, ship the case. Be a better person than he is and show him how a person with integrity handles the situation. Others may not agree with me but that is what I would do.

Actually he didnt win it "fair and square". Your raffle was open to AZB members only, and he hasnt been a member here since he was banned under his original AZ nick, JForney36.

I just hope the people who payed him for his raffle get their money back that they paypaled him.

Now, Now.. You can't do the guy over. If he purchased a spot and was the winner. Welcomed or not he was the winner.

If you do the guy over I see something seriously wrong with this.

He paid, He won. Simple as that......

You are exactly right to send him the case. He paid, He won. Simple as that even if he's not welcomed here.

The correct thing is to send him what he won. I'm glad you decided on that too.

Wrong again.....
This raffle was for AZmembers only. And this person was not a member after he was banned the first time. Me and many others bought spots in this raffle, which essentially means we bought this case for this scumbag.
And i would gladly never do business with anyone who thinks this was a "fair" deal.

I don't know I would say it was a good deal considering he was banned and back on.

But he paid and if he lost there would be no issue about returning his money or doing another raffle.............

Like it or not he won.. The right thing to do from this point is send him the case..

and please go ahead and put me down on your ignore list if you like. Because I feel not giving him the case is screwin someone over. So if you're saying you would do that. I don't care to do business with you.

No offense..

No offense taken, especially coming from you. And i didnt see your name anywhere on that raffle list, so theres no reason for you to even comment on this situation.
But, I'll tell you what, we'll just agree to disagree. And refrain from ever doing business with one another.

My name shouldn't have to be on the list for this situation. The raffler made it public in this thread.

and yes we can agree to disagree in a big way.

Personally, I wouldn't send him the case. He likes to screw people over, I'd give him a taste of his own medicine & see how he likes it.

At the very least, I wouldn't send the case to him until I knew that the few people that had already paid in the raffle he started were refunded.
