*semifinals:
Silvano 8.11 Hohmann
Gomez 11.9 Orcullo

He won 13-12 after trailing 12-7 (Roberto stumbles again in the finals!). I posted the final results and payouts on Manila Musings thread.

kinda reminds me of that world 9-ball finals between Gomez and Peach.
again congrats to Thorsten Hohmann. i believe it's his 2nd title here in the Philippines. he's a real warrior and a true champion!

Where the complete brackets posted anywhere? I missed day one... I see Morris winning one and losing one... So the Rocket rocketted out at 1-2?

im still looking for the bracket charts from day 1. the only ones i got were the day 5 results from the winners side and the losers side.

It is either Hohmann is too good or Gomez was just too shaky to make that last step to finish line. Twice now. Congrats to Hohmann. Team Europe!

I just arrived today. Have already seen several players milling around the hotel.

Gonna be an awesome event.........

:D:D:D Pacman's just got back to the Philippines. Wish there is a live stream of the double's event ($40,000 to the winner). Last July 2014, the rapper Drake made a spoof of Paquiao singing 'Let It Go' at the 2014 ESPY awards. Instead of getting mad, here is the pacman's response. I just love this guy's sense of humor. He is such a class act:

rewatched.....Gomez did not choke imo, Thohmann played ridiculous at the end.....perfect pool from what I saw on the second video essentially running 6 racks in a do or die situation within a tournament final;

frame 20 Hohmann breaks and runs
frame 21 Gomez breaks and is hooked, misses a tough railfirst shot on the 1, Hohmann runs out
frame 22 Hohmann breaks and runs
frame 23 Gomez breaks, sinks a tough 1, gets bad shape on the 2 and missed, Hohmann runs out
frame 24 Hohmann breaks and runs
frame 25 Gomez breaks, again is hooked, rails firsts a carom into the 3 which goes but poor shape, hooks himself one the 1, fouls on the next shot, Hohmann runs out

Gomez had bad luck on his final three breaks, he also does not seem to shoot those rail first shots as well as other pros, if anything he's guilty of poor judgement and missed safety opportunities

Hohmann was just a cold nasty beast at the end, pool at its highest standard

Hanging out before the big event......
