Playing snooker in the Canadian championships and moving around the table with the butt dragging on the floor like the snooker boys do it. The guy is a character.

Let me just say that, having played him at the US Open 1Pocket in Vegas a few weeks ago, Alex is probably one of the very nicest pros I have ever had the pleasure to play. He would say, "Nice shot" when it was appropriate; said, "Thank you" when I picked up the CB and rolled it to him after a scratch; and shook my hand afterwards in a very sincere manner. Very, very nice experience.

Yeah, I have nothing but nice things to say about, Alex. I met him twice, a true class act and character!

A character who is in the final 4...

Alex is now in the final.
At hill-hill he ran a 115 on John White, a former Canadian champ.
He is now leading Eric Hjorliefson to get to the 10-ball hot seat.

Alex is on the hill...9-5 ahead

Alex just beat Erik 10-5.
He is now in two finals tomorrow.

hope he doesn't get the rules mixed up.:)

is alex playing with a snooker cue or is he using his pool cue?

He is using a Schon and a Mezz for pool.
He is using a souped-up sneaky pete butt with a Mottey snooker shaft for
snooker.
Pretty sure the snooker shaft is one of only two that Paul Mottey ever made.
It's a carom-tapered 10 mm.

Didn't get a chance to see Alex play big table/small ball yet. Does he use his closed bridge at all when playing snooker?

He looks the same playing snooker as he does playing pool.
And he can make long shots and draw the length of the table.
When you can run a 100 at straight pool, you know what you need
to know to run a 100 at snooker.
And a snooker player can't teach a top one-pocket player anything
about safeties.

.

Agreed.
I also spent the day at Shooter's and had a great time. It really was the Alex Pagulayan show.
Here's how his day went
11:00 plays his round of 16 snooker match with Fern Loyer, former canadian snooker champ wins 5-3
Immediately after plays his A side 10 ball match with Jason Klatt wins 10-3
Then immediately after plays his 1/4 final snooker match with Paul King - former Irish Champion - wins 5-2
then immediately after plays his semifinal match with former snooker pro and canadian champion and wins 6-5. This was the match of the day. The level of play and drama was one of the best matches I've ever seen. Alex ran a century in the double hill game.
Then Finally he plays his A side semifinal 10 ball match with Eric H.and wins 10-5.
Always a showman - entertaining the crowd.
day finishes at 1:00 Am
ate chicken wings during his matches

To be honest if it wasn't for Alex - I dont think I would have stayed through it all.

Lou,
he's been that way long as I can remember from the first time I saw him. He would have been 18 or 19 at the time, I think. If you beat him, and that was a big IF even then, he'd shake your hand and wish you well, no matter what.
