VERY NICE FOUR POINT 4 VENEER BRAZILIAN CHERRY AND STRAIGHT GRAIN MAPLE PAUL MOTTEY CUE. IT HAS BEEN VERIFIED BY THE MOTTEY SHOP THAT THIS IS THE ONLY CUE THEY HAVE BUILT USING THIS WOOD. THE VENEERS ARE MAPLE, ORANGE, BLUE, AND BLACK. THE CUE HAS A MEDIUM BROWN LEATHER WRAP, AND A HOPPE RING. IT ALSO INCLUDES MATCHING CUSTOM JP'S. THE BUTT WEIGHS 14.9 OUNCES, AND THE SHAFT WEIGHS 3.8 OUNCES. THE SHAFT IS 12.8mm WITH A PHENOLIC FERRULE AND A MEDIUM MOORI TIP. PILOTED 5/16 14 PHENOLIC JOINT.

Don't know if the cue is new or not, but I can tell you that the shaft is indeed tapered!!! lol

nope..... It's the same size from the joint to the tip! Lol

the cue is in very very nice original condition, and i cleaned the shaft.

On the "hit" measurement scale someone is trying to promote, that would definitely rate as your basic stiff.

Considering that the cue was built in 2002, it's just fun to see that after making some of the nicest cues Paul still managed to reach back and pull this design out. I think that after a given limit of intricacy the sheer ingeniousity can be seen when it's presented in a pure and simple way.

Oh well, this is what this cue made me think..

I think you have to pay extra for a tapered shaft. Non-tapered shafts are for break cues or bar fights.

Marcus. Send this cue to jim. Have him make another shaft and maybe put a steel joint or ivory and put it away. If it has steel it would be gone already
