Paul Sorvino beats Thorsten Hohmann in a game of 9-Ball

Are we to consider this an upset? Paulie has the right stuff, plain and simple. Reminds me of when Jerry Orbach beat Mike Sigel in a benefit match for the Leukemia Foundation in 1992 in a nine ball race to two, with Nick Varner, Loree Jon Jones, and, of course, SJM, looking on.

You world champions will just have to practice a little harder, or the actors will continue to have their way with you!

Credit where credit's due... Paulie made the shots when it mattered.

He beat a World Champ at his own game. How many can say that?

Now...

If the game was "Best ever Spaghetti Bolognese"

Surely the pressure would be on Paulie. Mind you, he chops that garlic pretty thin...

BS.

(great vid BTW Thorsten. Keep 'em coming)

What gets me is I gave Thorsten some rep for posting the clip, as I'm sure many others did. Now his little green boxes say "he will be famous enough soon."

Am I alone in thinking that just seems odd?:D

During Amsterdam Billiards Grand Opening Party on January 29th, 2007 in New York City. Paul Sorvino banks the 7-Ball, makes the 8 using the bridge and finishes me with a long 9....

Thank you... :p

Thorsten

Do you have any videos of yourself playing straight pool to post?

I hear he uses a razor blade, and slices it so thin it just disappears when you fry it...

Hey, doesn't anyone remember Paul's classic performance as the Jerry Falwell-like preacher character in "Oh God"; he was so proud of himself for praying with multiple presidents, and giving the invocation at the Super Bowl.

Having said that, I like Paul's chances against Thorsten in 9-ball, race to 1 a LOT better than in straight pool to 300. Gives us some idea of the relative merits of the games.

how about race to 300 9 ball, and race to 1 in straight pool? :D
