Feel free to add more. To me these people give of themselves far more than they get from doing these videos. Yes Dr. Dave sells instructional material, yes Stan Shuffett sells instructional material. And Mike Page owns a pool room.

But - the amount of time and care these guys and others put into their FREE material is amazing and inspirational.

Thank you gentlemen and to all who post videos which inspire viewers to play more pool or even better to take up pool.

In honor of them I am going to give away a case to the person who posts the best NEW video of them showing the world why they love pool and why pool is worth taking up as a hobby.

Ready? GO, post your video here and on Christmas Day 2015 I will announce the winner.

Roy Pastor from Ayer Mass. Runs a junior league that sends a dozen or more kids each year to the Nationals, 3 of the kids from our league qualified for World championship last two years. Because of him many kids and their parents get to travel and play in various tournaments.

He runs the New England area Junior State championships (which my son has finished second in in every single one except 2013 when he won)

One of the kids from our local league (too old to play now but did) was on the Atlantic Cup team (Tyler Brandom).

He runs charity tournaments and events all the time (a week ago we had the 3rd fundraiser for diabetes research).

I'd say over the years he has raised a few 100 pool players from junior status and has brought in several others through the regular adult leagues that would otherwise not be playing or would be "bangers" shooting random shots on crappy bar tables instead of students of the game.

Can't say I have specific videos of this, but this is the facebook page for the league https://www.facebook.com/neusapoolleague?fref=ts

Some of our kids at Nationals, not all the ones in the pics are ours though https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.997235286995056.1073741902.197627246955868&type=3

Our shortest and youngest member who started when he was 6 (think he is 8 now) https://www.facebook.com/neusapoolleague/videos/vb.197627246955868/1003923682992883/?type=3&theater

Probably 20 more things I can add to this.

We don't do videos but I don't know of a more deserving person to be honored.

Agreed, and I don't think the fact that they make money from it is at all a negative. If you can make some money from supporting pool, that's the best of all.

They have audio rather than video, but I want to add Mr. Bond and the folks who do American Billiard Radio. I think they do an awesome job.

I think this is great and thank you for doing it.

I wanted to add a note for the guys on here who offer their time and valuable knowledge for free. specifically the table mechanics who have helped many out of a bind. In my case it was RKC, dontlitethat, reverend, fastone371, and bigchase.

Anyone else who helps out those you don't know on azbilliards or anywhere else in the billiards community.... ...thank you

Like to give a shout-out to guys like myself, Dr. Cue, Mike Massey, and others, who travel the country, doing exhibitions. We're spreading the love of the sport to tens of thousands of people every year! I'm actually headed out to WY and MT to do some exhibitions this week and next.

Add nearly every high level player from Wisconsin and Chicago to that list. The biggest complaint I see is that people are not serious students - not that there aren't enough serious instructors or promoters out there.

Larry Nevel, Dave Coles, BTK, Tyler Styer, Kyle Boers, etc. All of the high level players enjoy helping people learn new things on the pool table. Tyler teaches CTE and I gotta say that I may take him up on his offer to teach it to me (for $$ of course).

Since I started playing, I've surrounded myself with the players and knowledgeable instructors who enjoy helping and teaching and I've certainly jumped up a few levels and continue to pass on that knowledge as much as I can.

P.S. Add Joe Tucker to the list.

Anheuser-Busch

Ive made a lot of money over the years on the pool tables, thanks to the good folks at Budweiser.

The late, great, "Two-Tooth" Sally Bimstein. She promoted pool, or anything else for-that-matter, that would bring the guys into her hot-pillow joint down in Galveston.
Her 5 by 10 Gandy was always at the ready.

John Barton,

You should take a bow for your generosity, not just for your cue donations but for the time that you spend sharing your love for pool with others, which has nothing to do with your cue case business.

You do a lot for pool.

P.S. Does anyone know that JB Cases has an ONLINE custom, cue case design system in place right now?

Ray Hansen • www.poolactiontv.com

How about Ray Hansen, traveling all over the United States for years, providing live-stream, promoting pool players, promoting pool tournaments, promoting pool rooms.

Ray is the most active live-streamer out there and creates more interest in pool than anyone I know.

He's been bringing pool to the people sitting at home for decades is one of the only ones who continues to do it in a big way.

Ray reminds me of yourself in some ways John. He continues to look at his business model, is always making modifications and trying to improve on the quality of his product.

Yep! That's my pick.
