Anything going on in the Phoenix area tonight?

Thinking I will be in town and was wondering about any tournaments that anyone can play in. I don't have an Az rating.

Scott Frost won it last week.

It's barbox 9-ball on the Diamonds.

The Owner is the Chairman of the Arizona Rating Committee, so I would think you'd have no problem getting rated.

This is also the only room in Arizona that has Calcutta's.

1st place last week was $580, $660 the week before that. Not bad for a tournament that finished before Midnight.

Also, there is some good action possibilities if you are interested.

If you are around on Tuesday, Kolby's has a Wild Ball tournament this is really good on the 9' GC's. That is in Tempe.

Hey Frank, not sure about any tournaments tonight but know that you should stop by Kolby's. Good players there and plenty of action. What speed do you play?, if your a B player then your probably an 8 or a 9, if your an A player then I would think a 10.

I will be at Sweet Tooth tonight but its doubtful that I can make it for the tournament even though I would love to play.

Website says 7:30 start time. Not sure how accurate that is. I will be there probably by 830ish.

Yeah, they start the Calcutta right around 7:30 each week.

They have 3 - 9' diamonds as well, and getting a game shouldn't be that difficult.

my bad. i kicked myself in the ass when i took down the names of all the players... scott frost, gus brieno,bobby emmons, gene albrect,frank robutz,eric young, evans bishop!!!! i just kicked myself in the ass because of the gene vs scott match. scott wins first 3, gene takes next 5,scott wins next 4 to win. back on topic, i think i seen you frank. were you and your friend playing on one of the 9 footers? i think it was the one the furthest from the bar tables right? i was the guy running the tourny. i seen this too late or id have said what's up.

Great to see the best players in the state (that are playing), coming out and showing support for a room that is doing an incrediable amount for the Arizona Pool Scene!

Were you describing the finals? How did everyone place? Payouts, etc?

gus showed me no mercy! Great tourney though. mike is really doing good thing's there. He adds money from his own pocket for the tourneys. It is too bad that only 13 or 14 players showed up. I always hear everyone complaining that there are no open tourneys for the big dog's but when there are tourneys none of them show up to play. It was kinda funny how certain players (who will remain nameless) saw the comp that showed up and decided not to play. i knew I was donating but I was not about to puss out just cuz there were great players there. besides, I drove too far to get there . lol

I will be there for sure but it wont be the jason and under.lol. I am going to try to play as much as I can there because I like what mike is trying to do. Not to mention the tables play great and the food is off the hook!!!!! Best room in Arizona hands down!!! Only problem with sweet tooth's is that it is too nice and clean to be a pool room.jk. that place is incredible!! See ya there brother. Oh and you are doing a great job there by the way Mr. Crugar!!!
