It just occurred to me that you are Dennis!!! Bwahhaa I didn't know that Snookered is your AZB handler!
Next year you can join us for Shanghai, it'll be a lot more fun. Oh and don't worry I'll remind you to pose next time.

It was nice seeing you Dennis, I'll be sure to give you a ring when I'm back in Singapore :)

Thanks for the pictures

Jive,

Thanks for posting all these pictures. It is good to see a strong collectible cue scene in China. I'm very impressed with what was put out on the table. Hopefully more pictures to follow.

SS

Love the pics, Jive!
I also appreciate the reminder that I'm not really a collector! Maybe someday.....

Am glad you guys like what you see and not complaining that there's too many pictures hahah.

One last look perhaps :)
Hopefully some of you guys can fly over next year :grin-square:

Call me the negative nancy here, and flame away, but what is the point of these "cue collectors forums?" Other than an opportunity to trade cues in person, they just seem like a giant circle jerk of "zomg look how awesome my collection of long wooden sticks is!"

Actually there's more to it than that, we are not shallow people and we do something that's really meaningful which is to get all the production cue users and throw them into open flames till they succumb to the fact that our big schtickzz are bigger and better than their production stuff.
It sounds boring but the party begins when they scream and cry.

Now that the honest truth of the event is out let's talk about the pretentious stuff.

When you're really passionate about something your best friends or family may not be as passionate about them as you are so what happens? We find like minded people to fuel that passion and interest and perhaps in the course learn more about it.
I reckon it's the same for every hobby, hunters send their conquests to taxidermist and have them shown off, keen anglers take pictures of their finds and I'm sure they'd congregate with their conquests in live specimen if they could.

AZ has become that platform for like minded and passionate individuals of fine cues to meet and chat and appreciate stuff.

Meeting in person is different as the interaction is more personal than just "Nice cue, gorgeous!". We talk about stuff or even how treacherous it was to acquire that specific cue. And ofcourse there's the feel good factor of showing off your nice stick.

For the non enthusiasts whom clearly you are it's difficult to fathom and can only see such non profit and troublesome events as a show off thing and I don't blame you for it as I feel the same for some other hobbies that I think are silly.

Now back to burning the guys, oh man you should've seen his face!! If only he peed enough to put out the fire!!!!

Really cool pictures, thanks for posting!

I love the long life design in the cues. I have always thought it would be nice to be able to do that in a cue.

I'm a collector with a (very) small collection. I just don't join in live groups going "ooh" and "ahh" over long, hard wooden poles. I also don't see the point in denigrating people for choosing to not spend thousands on the same.

Perhaps you're more into long fleshy poles?
