I am starting to think I am scammed by Aaron:mad:

why would you send money to the seller first before you even inspected the cue first ?
I don't understand why all the buyer need to send their money to the seller first & taking all the risk of some scam ? why not the seller send the cue to buyer to inspect the cue first before sending the money ?
IMO i don't care how good of the word any seller have in here cause if "IF" any thing go wrong with the transaction is any of AZ'ER that vouch for the seller or the buyer gonna pay the money back for the buyer or the cue back for the seller ? it seem to me from reading the forum here every now or so, there some transaction goes wrong & suppose some AZ'er here did mention such & such person is a good person & trust worthy. is those people gonna help the buyer or the seller get item or $$$ back ? NO, I don't think so.
why can't the seller take some risk too ? that just IMO. don't need crazy feed back.

I agree with this. you should be able to inspect a cue before paying if you are well-known on this site. I wish I had gotten to do this in one of my trades, then "neither", or just me really, of us would be disappointed.

just got my cue from aaron today that was paid for before i got the cue. cue was exactly as described and came in a timely fashion. and this is the second flawlwss transaction i've had with aaron. he is also in the process of refinishing two of my cues, aslso prepaid. on many occasions other, than ebay sales, i will send the cue in question and expect payment after inspection.

....

Aaron always been pretty good to deal with, even if a problem come up, he seems to make it right, guy is probably tied up, give him some time

WAWACUE, I have to disagree with you. I don't think anyone who own a cue will send you a cue with out receiving money first. You are right, what if its a scam? I hope I never find out.

Just want to let you know, I have send over 3K many of times and all my purchases has been great. Made a few friends here on the forum too.

Lots of business are done with honor and and trust here on this forum. You don't hear people complaining that they got cheated on a daily basis.

I still believe there are good people out there. And I still hope Aaron will step up and clear this up. I just talk to him today and was about to send out 2 cues to him to refinish.

God bless all the wonderful and honest people here on the forum. Glad we still can do transactions in the $thousands by just "trust."

Nice post. I agree, but for those that don't understand....the old saying is true "TRUST IS EARNED." There are many, many people that I've done business with previously that I would have no problem sending a cue to first for inspection. However, for a new, unknown customer, that will never happen. If they are unhappy with the transaction, that's what a return policy is for.....

I think you taking my quote a little personal here.
first, let me clear this out: I'm not even saying Aaron or some of the AZ'er is not trust worthy or anything. I know in this world we all base on trust & word of recommendation. but sometime word of trust or recommendation will fall short at times. I also know there good people out there & I also know there are not trust worthy people too. as i said, whatever I quote in here is just my opinion, rather you agree or disagree is no biggie, friends.
as for you letting me know, you have send over 3k many time doesn't prove anything to me & I'm happy for you having great transaction most of the time.
why even need to tell me that ? if you put it that way, I too send thousand's every month too, I spend somewhere in the 90-100k every year with cue makers so what the point than ?
I guess, I'm just saying, why would anyone send $$$$ out to personal sell with out inspecting the cue first ? I have no problem sending $$$$ i the thousand to Sean @ cueaddicts, Bill @ cornerstone & other cue dealer or makers but not to personal seller, that my opinion. don't take this wrong, as i said this is only my opinion, don't need any forum war, thank you very much.

wawacue

WAWACUE,

Please read my post again.

I don't think anything I said on the previous post was "war" related. I did not take your quote "a little too personal" neither.

I just stated my experiences and what I feel about people here on the forum.....thats all.

No war here,

John

If you want to inspect a cue before you buy it then you should be willing to travel to the location of the cue. Do you really expect a seller to send a cue to a stranger so he can look at it, then package it back up and send it back through the postal system? That's ridiculous.

I am sorry, but this whole discussion about getting the cue before you pay for it is totally idiotic.

Do you get books, CDs, merchandise, etc from Amazon before you pay for them?

Do you get won auctions from sellers on Ebay before you pay for them?

Do you get merchandise from: Oldnavy.com, SportsAuthority.com, Mueller-Sporting-Goods.com, VictoriasSecret.com, jcpenney.com, (shall I go on?) without paying for them?

So what if you get scammed? That's why you pay by credit card, and you get the charge revoked if he does not send it, or if the merchandise is nothing like you ordered.

You have absolutely no right to ask that anybody send you anything before you pay for it. You're an idiot for even thinking you do. It would be business suicide.

There are consumer protections already in place to protect you from getting ripped off in these kind of transactions.

Jesus ************* Christ!

P.P.S. You KNOW I deserve positive rep for this post!!

regaurding cue

i just talked t aaron and he said that the cue was sent out almost a week ago .he said the customer wanted the wrap changed, the customer wanted custom.he had to order ,get in the special wrap,do it after it
came in.the customer was told all of this as they did it.oh and aparrently this customer lives in indonesa.his internet is down at home.only has it at the office and this is a holiday.he said that if he has any questions,he should call and talk to him instead of jumping on the forum and thinking he was scammed.i called aaron and he answerd no problem.he has been busy and is a little backed up but as usual has bent over backwards for this customer.he said that he has shipped and insured as the customer had wanted also.i have posted this on the behalf of aaron as his net is down, but his phone works as the second poster said to use.bottom line is it's on the way and i am sure done perfect.

Do we have to hear about this over and over Jeff? You sound like a little kid who found a chocolate sprinkle on their all vanilla cupcake....geez.

You sent him a shaft that did not match up where he had to order a new shaft, you had to pay $10 to have a ferrule sanded. Personally I think you are the one that sent him through a loop.

Of course at the same time I must agree on one part....if I ever did business with you I would insist upon receiving the cue before even making an offer let alone payment.

-Mike

I am sorry all, but time and again he stirs the shit and then once it gets to stinking he says "I don't want to argue only pointing out facts".
