Here are some full splice without veneers that I started today. I have had some people ask about them so I thought I would post some pics with my new camera just to prove that I make them 100% in my shop. Thanks for taking a look.

please call

Hi Jerry
By all means give me a call don't mind at all just don't want to put it out there for all the world to see to many people like to hate around here and I see no reason to help them.

Great examples Travis, Looks like you already figured this forum out, ;)

Full Splice

Nice work... I would like to see the finished rounds..
Also, keep up the great work. I think full splices are great hitting and add another dimension to a cue makers resumee.

Thanks very much for sharing, I preffer this technique of any other.

full splice

I have got a lot of interest in these so I will just try to answer here. I don't want to sell blanks to other cue makers at this time. I don't know how much they will cost yet I just got done with some new jigs to make the ones with no veneers and had to make some saw dust to try them out. I will not put pics of the machinery that I use on here for all to see ether. You can have any wood combo within reason I mean some woods like snake wood or burl won't work for obvious reasons. It will be a little while before they are done or have prices for everyone just thought I would prove I cut them myself and wet some appetites for when they are ready to sell.
Thanks
Travis

PS Blackheart cues ( Jerry ) you have always been great to me so I tell you what why don't you come down to ST. Louis some weekend my girl friend and I will take you and your wife to the hill for dinner my treat and on Sunday I will show you how I did it. If you will pay for the wood I will cut one for you to take home. You will have to stay in the hotel thought as my house is small.

Tap, Tap, Travis.

I was hoping for a jig for $75.
Baaadaaabing!
Anyone who has the audacity to ask for pics of the machinery is shameless.

As usual Mr. Michael Webb has hit the nail right smack dab in the center of the head. Thank you.

I agree with Webb. It is great to see someone giving back to those that have helped him. I believe that's what the forum is supposed to be about.

As someone that has been seriously bitten by the cue building bug and spending all hours reading & searching every little thing I can about full splice vs. half splice, woods & their curing process, cored or not, etc....................I would just like to thank you for the pictures Mr. Niklich, just these simple pictures helped me understand a ton about full splices, the way the points are put in and such, I know I sound like I dont have a clue what Im talking about, and right now I dont but all cue makers that have offered suggestions and that have invited me to give them a call have been super nice and patient with my "stupid" questions. & heres another one lol: How do you do the veneers in a full splice? All this craftsmanship just amazes me and hopefully one day to turn out my first cue

Travis; I thank you for the offer & if I am ever near St. Louie, I'll give you a call. I was only too pleased to help, you when you were getting started. I was just pleased that someone thought that I knew something worth sharing. I'll tell you what, if you'll send me one of your blanks, I'll make a Q out of it (add some of that MAGIC that I put into each BLACK HEART), & I'll send it back to you. We can both sign it & donate it to a fund raiser...JER

What a wonderful idea. A Blackheart crossed with a Blackcreek. You couldn't get a cue made by two nicer guys.

By the way Travis...wonderful work. Again...my apologies for not having been able to get in touch with you for that write up. I've just been swamped.
