OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Ocean Springs Police have released a surveillance photo showing the last person seen with Michael Surber before he was killed. The 54-year-old Surber was found dead at his home Thursday night.

Police say Jericho Cooper is a white man in this late 40s to mid 50s. He's about six feet tall and weighs between 175 and 185 pounds. He wears his receding hair pulled back in a ponytail, just below the collar.

Cooper is considered a "person of interest" in the case, and is wanted for questioning. He was last seen in the Jackson area on Sunday, November 15th. Police say he's known to frequent bars and pool halls.

Can folks from Jackson please start phoning their
pool room friends and ask them if they have seen this guy
this past weekend or at anytime.

We are phoning pool friends now asking them to look
at this guys picture, and they are calling friends asking
them to do the same.

We need to find this guy, Mike was too nice of a guy to
have this happen to.

Please help.

Call a friend, anyone that hangs out in pool rooms ask them
to look, I know it's not the best pic but's it what we have.


If you have any ideas how to get this picture out in the public
please post it so we can all help.

Good work Gunnslinger! This is the best possible picture you could hope for, especially from a survailance camera. This likeness should be easily identified to anyone who knows this lowlife dirtbag. I pray they catch this guy!

Actually, that is a GREAT picture. Yes, it is fuzzy; however, SOMEBODY, SOMEWHERE knows this guy and will immediately recognize him.

Is this the guy that drives a back Ford F250 truck with Georgia plates? I'd love to know more info about the truck, like maybe the year, was it new or old.

It would be nice to disseminate this picture to the casinos, since that seems to be where he likes to hang out.

Oh, this guy can run, but he can't hide. He's going down.

Person of interest means just that, a person of interest.

It in no way means that he is guilty.

That's why they want him for questioning.
For all we know, he might have some insight as to what happened.

But now that THATS out of the way, if it is him that did it, they should fry the bastard.

Is there any more information about belongings missing from Mike's home? In other words, what was taken from Mike? Was it money only?
