Say what you will about his antics while he plays, but how about the rogues gallery that he has beaten in this event...

Freezer in the 4th round
Efren in the 5th round
Niels in the 6th round
Joyner in the 7th round
Alex in the 8th round

We were joking about it last night at the pool room. I said that if I ever beat Scott and then Efren in back to back one pocket matches, I might just hang up my cue and retire from the game knowing that there was nothing more to accomplish.

He could beat everyone twice and it wouldn't change the fact that he is an @ss.

Give me Efren, "I got lucky" anytime.

Thank you very much.

I'd be curious to know what Johnathan's favorite game to play is: one-pocket, banks, or 9-ball.

Hell I beat them all last night and was getting ready to take Shane down then I rudely got interrupted by my frickin alarm clock ! :)

Re:Hennessee from Tennessee

Regrettably, Jonathan is a very easy person to dislike. He lives near me and being a fellow Tennessean I would like to pull for him to win every time he plays. Not so, due to his demeanor, conduct and lack of sportsmanship at the table. Whomever he is playing and wherever that player is from is who I pull for. What makes even less sense is he does not need to conduct himself in such a manner to win because is a champion player; one of the most natural pool players I know. A threat to beat any other champion at anytime. I have played him a few times and beat him once; a fluke. I make no claims to be a talented player but I really like the game and Jonathan could be a great asset to the game but instead he is a liability. Ty Cobb was a great baseball player but no one missed him when he left his sport. Jonathan's preferred game is 9 ball or 10 ball. His weakest game is one pocket. That obviously don't mean he can't win playing one pocket. He is a gifted player.

Not to down play Hennessee's huge feat, but....

What about Justin Bergman?! He beat Hennessee, then beat Corey and beat Busty *twice*, in the finals, to snap off the 1 pocket event.

Eric >wonders what Bergman will do, after he hangs up his cue

Many pool players are "controversial" at times. Jonathan "Hennessee" Pinegar has had his moments like many pool players.

His feat at the Southern Classic of beating all of those champions back to back is incredible.

I have actually seen Jonathan on the other side, being relentlessly sharked by his opponent to the point where he couldn't take it anymore and lost his composure and the match.

I've seen Jonathan behaving in a most professional manner and sometimes a not so professional manner.

There's many sides to every person and Jonathan is no different.
