My brother and I will be in the Chicago area on 2/13 and 2/14 and looking for suggestions on where to play. Looking for good tables and good atmosphere. Not looking for any action just a good place to enjoy some pool.

For some other places, there's Q Billiards in Darien (southwest suburbs), Chris' Billiards (north side of the city), Palace Billiards in Villa Park (west suburbs), and Chicago Billiards Cafe (Portage Park, northwest side), and they all get my recommendation.

To the OP...Another nice room, on the north side of the city, is Pressure Billiards. Bustamante, Immomen, and Charlie Williams did an exhibition in there just last week. They have good food & drink, Brunswick Metro tables, and a nice atmosphere. As was mentioned, there are nice rooms on all sides of Chicago.

Chris's Billiards-North Side of Chicago(Milwaukee Ave)
Red Shoes Billiards-Alsip
ProTyme Billiards-Orland Park
Q Billiards-Darien
The Loft-New Lenox/Joliet border
All of these rooms have excellent equiptment and good atmosphere.Chris's is the most unique of them all,in that it is old, dirty, quiet, and huge yet it has been standing for milleniums and draws pool players from all around by its very ambience. It is the "Great One" of Chicagoland pool halls. The 95 year old grandma limping around.....yet full of wisdom.
