I'd like to have a few pictures of some top players for near my pool table, but can't seem to find a source. Can I get a few links to help my search?

Google pool player pictures and hit images. You will probably find hundreds

There was a member here at one time that had a website with all kinds of pictures on it that he had taken at tournaments. They were legally his I believe and you had to buy them through him. They were from older tournaments and would make excellent pool room hangings.

Sounds like just the ticket, hopefully he pops up.

Have you done any photos lately ?
Nice shot of Mike there.

I haven't shot many pool photos this year. I might cover the Texas Open this year, but I'm not sure yet. There are three other tournaments coming up that I'll be livestreaming, so I'll probably grab some shots while I'm there.

Diana Hoppe and Robert Ross have some of the best images. Also If you write to some of the players they'll send you autographed photo's

I would be interested in what lens you use

I did the one of Mike M with a 85mm 1.8 on a 5 D mk 2 canon .

That's a great combo! I use the same one quite often for shooting people. It provides light weight, the ability to hand hold in low light situations and is right on edge of telephoto allowing some comfortable space between you and your subject.

Bill porter...

We have a lot of pool photographers in our midst. Professional photographers such as J.P. Parmentier, Rick Schmitz, and Diana Hoppe come to mind.

Steve Booth, owner of OnePocket.org, also takes some very, very cool pool photos. He is able to capture the most uncanny moments during a pool match that I've ever seen.

One photographer I have recently enjoyed more and more, thanks to Facebook, is Robert Ross. He has some great black-and-whites of pool players from yesteryear as well as today. I purchased a black-and-white of Keith that I adore.:smiling-heart:

He did some photo magic to this one of Efren, depicted below, and it is one of the best I've ever seen. AzBilliards used to be the only place to find cool pool stuff, but thanks to social media sites like Facebook, you now have access to more.

I really, really like this Robert Ross photo of Efren.
