Player with the most Charecter

Fatty.

I don't think anyone else even comes close.:D

Oh, and Jack White also. I had the opportunity to see his "show" twice back in the late 70's. He's a fantastic entertainer.

Well, I definitely have my favorites. :D

I can contribute a few names to the thread! :p

Shannon Daulton, without a doubt, is fun to watch, whether he's talking or chalking. Today, the seasoned veteran can be his opponent's worst nightmare, but his Southern drawl and charm always warms my heart. He can also sing a mean a capella!

Bobby Pickle is another player who always attracts a crowd whenever he's at the table. His gift of gab and his ability to match up is what separates him from the rest. I always enjoy seeing him play.

Fabio Petroni is GREAT to see when he's in rare form. In the heat of the battle, he's like a cat waiting to pounce, but he can keep up with the best of 'em when he gets to squawking. Something about his barking in an Italian accent, I guess. LOL

Dennis Hatch is a familiar name to the pool world, having acquired great feats when he was only a young'n. He, like other players I am close to and know, can be controversial at times, but when he's on, playing his game, he is poetry in motion, and if and when he is WINNING, he can be quite comical and enjoyable to see.

Jimmy Mataya is one of the funniest players I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Quick wit, smart as a whip, he is Mr. Comedy Central. An old-school player who has a deep passion for the game, but nowhere to display it in today's pool world. I like Jimmy a whole bunch.

Whenever I see Ronnie Wiseman in the pit, I mosey on over and set for a spell. Whether he's barking pre game, during the game, or post game, Ronnie makes me laugh. He practices old-school etiquette which makes him top shelf in my book.

Well, those are a few that come to my mind! :p

JAM

Hey Jam, you forgot one guy, the one sitting next to you. As colorful as all the above players are, if Keith is playing everyone will flock to that table.
For being funny, entertaining and a great player to boot, Keith gives them all the 7 and the 8.

For anyone confused or for which English is a second language the question "Who has the most character?"
would normally be asking for the person with the highest moral worth.

This thread with one early exception seems to be answering the question "who is the biggest character?" generally meaning who is the most colorful/different/entertaining kinda guy. I guess the anal part of me had to say this.

PS-I realize most of you know this and are just "going with the flow".

I've apologized for the confusion already:

Actually my intention of this thread is who is the biggest character. We've done a thread on class.
Maybe it should read charisma(good or bad). Sorry for the confusion.

But thanks for pointing this out again.

If you are speaking of moral character I am going with Tommy Kennedy. If you are talking about who you would like to sit and enjoy a beer with I’m still going with Keith and Scotty.

I was speaking when i shouldnt have- Someone give me some bad rep.

I belive Cornbread Red aka Billy Burge could have also fit the bill as biggest character in the game.

He's right up there with Keith, Ronnie and Louie. When he was playing, Red controlled the whole room. It was clear who was in command, and heaven help the man who got out of line.

i'm sure

i'm sure someone has already said but as far as character i think little john has a ton.he's definatley one of the funnest guys to watch make a game.

ive known quite a few "characters" over the years in the pool scene but i guess i would have to say charlie brinson might give them all the 7. any feedback from some of the old timers would be greatly appreciated.

Red was my 2nd favorite character

As unbelievably charismatic as Red was, and I used to follow him around like a puppy dog, when Fats was in the room, the most you could get out of Red, was he would mutter quietly at Fats with his head down. Nobody dominated a room like Fats. When he had his TV show, Minnesota Fats Hustles the Pros, I seen him rip the mike out of the hands of the announcer, Joe Wilson, and take over the whole show. (TV was live in those days) Fats overpowered TV personalities like Mike Douglas and Johnny Carson.
