I need help. Even though I got permission from my wife last night to go to the tournament, because the tournament got out so late, my wife thinks I was cheating on her. I'm Kevin, the guy who won last night, could someone who was at the tourney post that I was there please so I can stay out of the dog house. I don't even have a dog house so I might be stuck under the willow tree in the back yard...


Please help me!!!!!!!

Thats hilarious, at least from this side. We can all relate, what woman could understand why we would be up late, or all night, playing this "game"? Good luck Jaden, now and later.:smile:

It was around 2:00 a.m. when I left and I just chopped 1st and 2nd because they were saying there was still three matches left to play before they would play me.

Sounds like to me that there are much larger trust issues and that by just having someone "vouch" for you will not solve the problem.

I gotta say this. Either your wife is very insecure, or she doesn't know poolplayers.

If you come in one of the top spots in a tournament, leaving at 1-2AM is NOT an unsual occurence at all.

Sounds to me like she never goes to tournaments with you, bro. That's not a good sign, because it seems like she doesn't wanna take an interest in what you do, but then wants to b!tch about it.

Hopefully she'll read this.

I don't want to put too much of my personal issues out there. I'm sure that all married people can relate that usually one person wants action more than the other, so she thought I might be using pool as an excuse to get some on the side.

I just want someone who was there to say I was there and that it got out late. I know some people from there go on the forum, so I'm hoping that someone will see this and help me out.

I know it wouldn't even have been an issue normally, but I've started to be able to play my game more lately since I've been on the road and I'm getting deeper into the field now than I was. Combine that with a late finish, THANKS RALPH for showing up late, and you get a suspicious wife.

I think she might have gotten suspicious becuase I came home all happy because I won. LOL

The first tournament she ever went to with me was the 03 swannee and in my first match, I missed only nineballs and still lost only 9-6. I ran out to the nineball every time I stepped to the table and dogged it.

She said she thought she was jinxing me and didn't want to go to any more of my tournaments.

I recently talked her into to going again, but we've got a three year old and it will probably have to be a big tournament where we can leave our daughter with my mom or something for her to go again...

It has been a while since I've played a weeknight tournament and when I did, I hadn't been finishing well, so she doesn't have a perspective on how late they can finish up...

Jaden, Grady tells a similar story. A poolplayer takes his secretary to a motel and stays with her all night. Well needless to say his wife is furious and wonders where he is. So about 6 in the morning he drops off the secretary at her house and goes into his trunk and gets some chalk out of his stick case and rubs the chalk all over his hands and goes home. His wife says where have you been all night long. He says I took my secretary to a motel last night. His wife says YOUR LYING YOU"VE BEEN PLAYING POOL!!!

I'm about to have to go in for a lfestyle polygraph for a clearance upgrade. If I cheated on my wife, I'd probably get disqualified, because that can be used against me by foreign powers.....

Cheating?

I was in the same situation! We were vacationing in the Philippines 4 months ago and she thought I was cheating also. She showed up at One Side Billiards in Manila...I was playing Efren Reyes at that time. LOL...I told her that I would rather play Efren than go out with the most beautiful woman in the world! Tell your wife that pool players don't cheat...THEY JUST PLAY POOL! CONGRATS ON THE WIN!
