:cool:First we had Earl, then Shane with a 6.5" Cuetec extension, now Mika and Jason with a 3.5" Balance Rite Extension that they leave on their cues all the time....guess I'll try it!!! SHane's is rear weighted while Mika's and Jason's are forward weighted...not sure about Earl's!

Interesting! I`ve seen Earls javelin and Shane`s cuetec extension, but i have never seen Mika or Jason use a cue extension, despite Mezz actually makes one to fit all their cues.
Maybe 60 inch cues will be the new norm?

I've got the Balance Rite and I've been trying to use it, but it just feels weird. I'm a tall guy (6'4"), so I like having that extra length on the cue, but my shots are all off when it's on. I had Alex Brick make a 4" extension for my break cue and that actually works great!

Mika and Jason are both playing in the Nick Varner Classic on the Free TAR live stream and they are both using the Balance Rite.

John just said on the Varner Classic stream that he used Mika's cue and he was nailing long shots with the extension!

I am also using a middle extension! But, you said "players."

if you play with a RAT, I have a custom extension, now you can be like the pro's and look good doing it:thumbup:

The late Tony Ellin had an extension before you saw anyone with one. His made the cue like 7 feet long.

I'm intrigued by the idea of adding weight in the joint area to create a forward balance. Does anyone know of a device like this that just adds weight but does not add length (or not much length)? If this same thing were 1 inch long instead of 4 inches I'd be really interested.

I think it could be a new direction.

I am having a few butts extended myself. I got Jimmy Wetch a 61" jacoby. I have watched Shane and he has played good, without the bridge too. There are computer programs that will help with picking exactly.where the balance point will be before the cue is turned. Long Shaft-wood is tricky. I have used underwater-wood for the extended length Shafts I use. And look at the snooker table- the 70 inch ash cue. mark

Beginners the lot of you...

In couple days I should receive my Balance rite extension, I think I'll like it.

Any video with Mika and Jayson using extension?

Just ordered the Balance-Rite from Pool Dawg - $32. Should be here middle of next week
.
Looking forward to seeing what happens with more weight forward on the cue.

Have Fun

I had a 7 inch extension made that only weighs 2 ounces and have loved playing with it. It spread the weight of the cue out and just feels more natural than adding a 2 ounce weight bolt.

I've shot with at least a 60" cue for awhile and can't go back. I used the balance rite on a Nova cue and it plays great. I'd love some feedback on lambros cues with the extensions. I may get one of these next.

Thanks.

I've used the same set-up on my R-360 as Shane for a few years. It's butt heavy and I'm only 5' 6" (probably 5' 5" now) and I got use to it fast. Hardly ever have to use the bridge or shoot off balance with a bad bridge. Johnnyt

My new cue is 59" (30" shaft/29" butt) with a 6" extension. Weighs well over 21oz, back heavy. I'm 6'4" and have a big wing span, so it works for me.

The only disadvantage is playing in the BB. There are more short shots. On a 9footer it's very comfortable.

I briefly tried the Balance Rite, liked the added length (that's what she said) but felt weird with the weight distribution. I don't even like shafts that are over 4.0 oz or so, at 4.2 or 4.3 I notice and the balance feels like it shift too much forward, that same feel was greatly accentuated with the extension in the middle.

Concept is great though, and that same issue I have with the balance might be a benefit for others. Could also be cue dependent. I know if someone was paying me to use one I would certainly get over myself... :)
