Playing Off The Rail

This year being the 20th anniversary of the book, what is Anigoni up to? Best book on pool I have ever read. Considering I haven't read Pool Wars yet. Which I'm dying to.

Tony just opened up a really sweet pool/billiards joint up in Fairfield, I talked him about a year ago and always wanted to get up there but never had the chance. Then I moved to Chicago. The place is called The Two Cushion Club and it's website is www.tccfairfield.com . You really should check it out, it's pretty awesome.

wow

I just read the sticky about the USPPA and Tony, I had no idea. What a mess and a sad situation. Bad deal for everyone

POR was a great story. It felt so accurate. I was close to some of that action...when Tony beat Tulio Antonelli for the cash, he was playing with my money! (I was a victim to Tulio, not his backer).

Somebody get Sylvester's book published...we need more of that gritty history...real names...real places...real characters and unbelievale moves that really happened.

POR was the first book on pool that I ever read and I loved it. Now Buddy Hall "Rags to Rifleman then what" is the best pool book I ever read. I never wanted that book to end.

Ill never forget when I had Tony sign my copy at the poolroom he was (so-called) trying to save. He signed... "Keep on hitting em and don't believe everything you read.... It was a lot worse.."

I think my favorite parts was the backing of Keither at the one-pocket tournament in Reno. Tony got the flu so he sent Dave out to get action with Keith and Bucktooth. Bucktooth... Ahahahaha what a character. By far the most two colorful people in that book. Ill never forget the part when Keith is playing Cecil the Serpent for a couple thousand a game one-pocket. Oh man the sharking and woofing that went on :lol::lol:

I loved the writing style of McCumber but everything was soon tainted after the biggest air-barrel in pools history was fired by Tony. I liked him and his game but my god man... What an A--hole!!!
