Okay, so I've been a member here for 3 years now and find myself spending more and more time here each day...I love the wide array of knowledgeable characters we have here and appreciate all of the wonderful information I learn each day. However, (please excuse the blasphemy) I've been starting to wonder what other billiards related forums might be out there and how they compare to our own here.

what's a billiards related forum?

all seriousness aside, check out somebody or others army. It was purple with skulls and stuff. Man, i thought i was trippen:)

If you like 1p, onepocket.org seems good. Otherwise... hell, I dunno. This is the place. There's the rec.sport.billiard newsgroup I guess.

All the forums here

The One Pocket forum is worth taking a look at now and then but if you are like most of us you probably aren't looking at some of the forums right here on AZB. The 14.1 forum is great, the action room and NPR can be entertaining, ask the pros can be interesting, and of course the main AZB site has great columns and articles. Most of us are missing much of what is happening right here on AZB.

Actually, there is no other billiards related forum. Those who suggest otherwise are letting their imagnations run wild.

An AZB forum member has no more reason to shop for another billiards related forum than a car owner has to shop for a horse and buggy.

SA is right. You really don't need to look any further than your own back yard here at AZ.
I was looking around the other day, for a totally nude billiard forum. Did you know that totally nude billiard forums are damned hard to find? You could have knocked me over with a feather.

There are a few other billiard related forums but none as large as this one. The others are more topic driven on a particular aspect of the game with far fewer members.

Billiards Digest magazine has a small forum. Most members over there are also members here but there are a few that only read that forum.

Onepocket.org is obviously geared towards the game of one pocket. The owner of that forum and most members there are also members here. The owner, Steve Booth takes great pics and the site is worth checking out for that reason alone.

As ribdoner alluded to, there is another site called Jimbo Army that is geared towards cues. It is also a small group and some are members here also.

There is (was) a site that seemed geared towards the southern region. I cannot remember the name - maybe someone reading this will remember. Again, it is much smaller than this site and most members are also members here.

As others have stated, this is the largest forum. It has the largest number of members, topics, and information. The other forums move at a much slower pace & if you're used to this site & how fast it can move then you might find yourself bored by the slow movement of the other sites.

I love to film myself. I have a library with all kinds of films with me and "other players." Most women, truth be told, like to be filmed. Shit, sorry. I was mentally on another forum.

But, in pool, it's the BEST way to get in stroke. Film yourself from the break to the end of the runout.

Just google billiard forums and see for yourself. All players seem to gravitate towards this one. You will find that there are often duplicate threads with very little response.

I find this on forums of other interest also. The cream rises to the top.
