hello all, i am thinking to use $1500 to get a custom cue, i want 4 or 5 points with ss joint, plain butt, any body can give me any cue makers with top playbility and top material wood within this price please?
thank you.

If you can wait until March go to Valley Forge and try some of the cues. If you can't get there then I would consider someone like Capone. He makes a really nice cue for a reasonable price. Someone like Searing has a really long waiting list.
Does it have to be custom made? Have you looked at some of the nice cues put out by Predator. Also check out the for sale area of this web site.

You ordering custom built or buying a custom already made? Scruggs is an excellent choice, should be able to get a nice one for 1500 in this market.

I'm giving you two links to take a look at a couple of cues made by Shawn Putnam in 2005 and 2006 so you can see the quality of his work. I know these two in particular are 8 point and you were looking for 4 or 5, but I just wanted to give you an idea. I am not personally a cue expert, but I know Shawn personally and am sure he could hook you up with what you are looking for.

I'm a Webb man all the way. Mike Webb not only is a great cue maker, but also a great person...

Just to name a few; Jeff Olney, Tony Zinzola, Steve Klein, Cory Barnhart, Scott Gracio, Jensen, masonh, Scruggs. One of these fine cue makers should be able to make you a cue in that price range. GL to ya.

For a beautiful cue in that price range that hits like a truck - Ariel Carmelli.

thanks all above, i have a josey cue for playing, it hits great, i also have a gina cue which tested 2 or 3 times i think, the difference is i feel gina is not so powerful as josey, maybe i am not good enough or the table is too slow, always feel cue ball cannot go the exact position i want, but josey is ok. however, after gina when i use josey i feel it is a little bit "hard". i do not know why. can anybody give me explain, also, i am looking to get a cue with power and good feeling too in the price range.
gina is exellence, i like the feeling but i think it is hard to control because the ivory furrels and need perfect cue action. and obviously, these two cues have big price difference, so looking for a cue between these two and have both power and feeling.
thans.

Hi I think everyone has made some very good suggestion, and let you know Their fayvoite cue maker, and you can't fault them for that. But a cue that hits right in there hands might hit like crap in your. I beleieve you need to get out and hit with different cues till you find out what works best for you. Then you find a maker and all cues cues hit different, depending on tip, ferrel , shaft taper and so on. There is no answer . Just my opinion. Jim
