I know there there have been various threads
about pockets but I was wondering about the
pocket angles specifically.

By my way of thinking the pocket angles should
not change regardless of pocket width sizes. Throat
and mouth. The angle should be 102 regardless
of the widths. Is this correct?

102?...that's a side pocket opening, how would that work for a corner pocket?

See the Table Difficulty Factor (TDF) thread. It contains an illustration of facing angle and how it is related to pocket mouth and throat measurements. Also included are typical values over a wide range of tables. Facing angle can vary quite a bit among different tables.

Should pool equipment follow a standard? Yes.
If not a complete, top-to-bottom standard (all tables same brand, size, etc.)
then at least some smaller standards such as the cut of the cushion or the pocket.

But of course, someone always thinks they can do something a little better.
And, to be fair, sometimes they're right. Like Diamond felt like they could do the pocket
cut and size better than the typical Gold Crowns that have been around for a thousand years.

Some of the weirder pocket cuts like Rattle-hausens should be banned :)
