Beautiful, brother. Nice!

My friendly USPS driver delivered a couple of boxes of Partagas Shorts a couple of days ago.

I may take one for a test run and smoke it while hitting some balls on my Diamond.

Smoking cigars and playing pool go together divinely. :thumbup2:

Damn! That's it...I'm going to brew a nice espresso & go enjoy a Punch Champion...nice stogie indeed. :D

If the law allows smoking in a pool hall, people will smoke. If the law doesn't allow smoking, people won't smoke in the pool hall. Nothing you say or do here will change any of that. AZB does not have that kind of power.

If the laws allow smoking, quit whining about it. If you don't like it, go somewhere else where they don't allow smoking. Don't go in a smoking room and complain about the smoke. Don't move into the country and complain about the smell of manure. Don't go to a biker bar and complain about what everyone is wearing. It only makes you look like an idiot.

There are millions of Americans who live in states that mandate clean indoor air and I think they're all idiots and you are an intelligent person based on my reading of your posts in other threads.

I had a couple today myself.
Partagas Black Maximo and a Diesel Unholy Cocktail.

Larry...I strongly suspect you've been banned before but I'm just making sure you have enough rope to hang yourself with.

I am watching you.

Does seem familiar...

So far, this isn't looking tooo good for the "My Godgiven right" and "Force others to share it with me" contingent. Together they total 15% and the "I don't mind going outside rather than infringe the clean air of others" is 85%.

I think this is about the time where the minority starts contacting all their friends with unseemly requests.

If I did smoke, i'd still go outside as I feel that is the right thing to do. But I dont want to be forced by our Govt to go outside. I would be considerate to other people. Perhaps thats because I had good parents(who both smoked)-I believe if parents raised their kids right and the kids were better educated we wouldnt need so many laws to protect us from ourselves in society as a whole. But that would take many years for that to happen.

Well, there must be a hell of a lot of smokers who were brought up wrong because where it's legal to smoke indoors in a public place you will NEVER see a smoker go outdoors to smoke and there are tens of millions of them.

I find it out of place that you come in displaying your allegiance to smoking and in the same post threaten to ban someone who is anti-smoking. Larry hasn't used any language that hasn't already been used in this thread by pro-smokers and you didn't threaten oe even warn them.

Maybe Mr. Wilson suspects Larry Fine has posted previously under a different name. Just speculating...

I have no problems playing in a smoking room, but given the choice I will play in a non-smoking room.

I've been in smoking rooms that had fantastic exhaust fans where it was no issue. I've also been in rooms where there was nothing and it was awful, but I played there anyway because I am there for the game first.

I personally don't agree with government telling businesses how to run their business considering that government in itself is the most poorly managed business on the planet.

I'm curious about the distribution of responses to this. If indoor smoking is prohibited in your locality then just imagine that it wasn't.

the problem is, i dont even think outside is good enough. dont get me wrong, i feel it is polite, but when you hate smoke and walk out of a restaurant into a plume of it, it just kinda sucks. i would, even myself, classify this as overwhining, but i mean it is really nasty stuff. maybe we can have a smoking state one day, and all the smokers can live there. it would be the shiz if you got to keep all your tax revenue.

Eh, maybe you don't know as much as you think you do.;)

I find these 2 statements to be contradictory...! The business can choose to have smoking, but a person cant choose what to eat??!!

Cheffjeff will contact you shortly.

:p

I was going to stay out of this thread.....

....and I still am.

Nyah!

Its obvious you smoke.
And I find it offensive you stink up the joint and blow poision in my face, and later on my tax dollars will be spend to buy you a wheel chair and oxygen bottle when you cook your lungs where they no longer work, and neither then can you. Now tell me this, any one that does this, is not an idiot, what, they are a smart person?
Only when you wake up to this fact, you are an idiot and dumb, can you then quit and save your self. now, you probably think your cool.

It's sooooo tempting...but I promised......I promised.

First off I am a cigar smoker, I don't smoke all the time and not even everyday but I do enjoy a good cigar. This poll is much like the political pollsof the day as it asks the question in a way to solicit a particular answer. I live in Chattanooga TN and here we have both smoking and non-smoking pool rooms. The government ban here allows the owner of the business to choose to be a smoking venue if no one is allowed in the building under 21 including both patrons and employees. This system seems to work fairly well as both types of businesses are doing well. I personally support both sides of this because it is left up to adults and the owner of the business who has invested his life and worth into the business.
There are certain basic rights which are supposed to be protected by the constitution of this country and one of the foremost is the right of property and ownership and control by that owner. So let the business owners decide how to run their businesses and let the government just continue to waste our tax payers money the way they always have.

The answer is simple, like they did in Ireland, ban smoking in the entire country, light up in a pub, $1,000 fine and 90 days in jail.

The only way to wake up a smoker that he is doing something bad that is killing him, is to ***** slap him in the face, and they dont like that, who does, and they react with anger, because nobody wants to be told what to do, so they defend.

You do that, not trying to be mean, but to try to save them, from their own selves. You can save a few, but the majority you cant, so you learn to live, and let die. But you might save some kid from taking up the habit.

These guys turn from cigs to cigars, thinking thats ok and cool, but they are more leathel than cigs. And blacks in the carribbean put the leaves together by spitting on them, so you are now swappin spit with them, and they have a high rate of aids, and you call that cool.

its a waste of time, trying to tell a smoker he is wroing, total waste of time.

I'm really split on the issue since I lean Liberterian. I think folks should be able to do pretty much as they want as long as it doesn't harm other people. I never liked the idea that Big Brother can force a private business to provide handicap ramps and parking, even though I would do that voluntarily if I owned a retail business. I think the marketplace should be the final arbiter of these things.

However, I don't have a problem with enforcing air quality standards since that is definitely a public health issue. It could be compared to fire and safety standards. The business owner doesn't have to ban smoking, just install the necessary equipment to keep the air clean for everyone.

What is your height to weight ratio? Are you a vegan? Do you drive something like a Prius? Do you get the recommended exercise each day to maintain good health? Maybe the government needs to check on your habits. I guess since prohibition worked so well with alcohol we should use it for tobacco too. I wonder what group would profit most from that?
By the way, I never smoked cigarettes and if you check the stats, you'll find the health risks from cigars are not nearly as bad as cigarettes. Oh too, hand rolled cigars are put together with water and fruit pectin. Just how much spit do you think a person has? A good roller will roll between 500 and a 1000 cigars a day.

Gotcha.

I knew if I let you rant a bit you'd show your self larry.

Say bye-bye to FL kids.
