Pool & February 14th... (aka) Valentines Day

Tomarrow is Valentines Day,:p if you could have ANY THING you wanted POOL RELATED, as a Gift and MONEY was not an object what would you like to unwrap as a gift? :cool:

Ya know, this is kinda a pet peeve of mine. I guess I have myself to blame, but due to my involvement in pool over the last 25 years, it seems that every time someone buys me a gift ( Christmas, Birthday, Father's day etc.) it's pool related! I guess my family feels like my life is POOL!

Tomorrow is Valentines Day, and it's also my Wedding Anniversary. I was married one year ago to a wonderful girl from the Philippines and to be honest, I hope I don't SEE a pool table, cue or anything pool related for the entire day! I have a much better idea for spending that day! ;)

That's easy. A house that has a basement (or room) big enough for a 9' table. That's all. I don't think it's asking to much! If she gets me the house, I'll buy the table for her.;)

I will get to play for an hour at lunch time. But that is it. My wife was born on Valentines day,,,hence her name...Valerie. We had her B-Day party Sunday, so Tues night will be a quiet evening at home. Oh yeah and she will get a zillion phone call's from her family.:)

I like the afternoon with one of these pool gals, Allison Fisher, Jennifer Barretta, Jeanette Lee, Vivian Villarreal or Loree Jon Jones in my favorite pool hall. :rolleyes:

Yes, tomorrow is my birthday (2-14-60), but I have to share it with my twin. :mad:

All the profits that the card and candy companies make because of that day. They sure do capitalize on it.

How about a nice girl that shoots pool? Life is tough on V-day for the single...especially since I'm only a month and a half removed from the last relationship. Incidentally, I also have an ex that was born on V-day.

INSTANT Ability

I wish for the gift of INSTANT Ability to be able to duplicate what I see Great Pool Player do when they are at the table.

As I know in the Game of Pool, Skill & Ability are more important than equipment.

Guess I need to practice more to get better, as that is a fact of life....as the gift of INSTANT Ability is a totally unrealistic dream....

My wife surprised me this morning by telling me she wants me to go to the local tournament tonite (feb 14th) rather than go out to dinner.

My wife & I must be getting old............

Today she gave me a gift certificate for a penis implant and I gave her an 8-pack of AA batteries.
