Hi Sean, thanks for your comments. I've never said CTE is "de facto", all I'm disputing is its validity. There have been plenty of throwing under the bus around here, and I wanted to say my 2 cents. Those that think CTE doesn't work, or isn't what it claims to be, have not given themselves a chance to understand it. It takes effort, it is quite a step away from what has been taught for decades. So different that I think the flat-earth analogy is prudent.
Will it be used by all? Highly unlikely. But I think it will be common knowledge amongst serious players, whether they chose to apply it or not.

This is the point in the conversation where someone asks the question:

I have aimed this way for a long time. From Dave's method / 90/90/ and Pro 1
Once your visuals are correct along with your stance then that's the benefits of it.It puts everything in the right line to make the ball. Whatever you do after that is up to you. You have to "feel" your stroke but for me it's subconscious after the initial aiming. A shot doesn't end with aiming.

first: thx Jam for posting the stuff from Hal-- for me this written stuff was new (without rating it ^^). Interesting for me personally-
I was *always* a bit sceptic when i was reading these never-ending discussions.
What i definitley begin to hate is that there are some guys who are nothing but aggressive- and going off-topic as soon as someone has not their opinion. It s annoying.
When i received the DVD from Stan, i was VERY curious. By watching it the first time i was still confused (not negativley!). I watched it a couple of times, before i made it to the table. I haven t have that much time for playing- and so i got lost here somehow (as often ^^). Bit before i also received the Pre-Versions from Ekki (ekkes schneider) of the See-System- far before he released it.
At a time i suddenly had bit freetime-and i felt healthy enough to spend some time at the table. I set my goal to spend some quality time on both systems ( and i really appreciate to test sth new like this).
I posted the results anyway in the public- and i m still laughing a bit about myself by remembering the practice sessions with see and pro1. I really had so much fun (and also got sometimes pissed and angry for sure. lol) by testing it out.
I haven t spend the time which would be necessary-that s a fact! But the success and the results i had by making balls i setup have been great. On the *test shots* i was between 88-95 % with the See-System-- and it was really *feeling good*. It was not a big deal for me to lign up etc.--- quality explaining and good stuff.
With Pro1 i had mixed feelings- but it works 100%--- at one point i asked a friend to cover the pocket ( i had no curtain- lol) with a shirt......and i made 8 out of 10 shots. My friend was a bit shocked/amused.....and me, too-lmao.
I m serious-- by watching the curtain videos from Stan i got infected again- and THESE VIDEOS showed me clearly that the system must work. And then i made it again to the table- i then practiced 3-4 hours daily- just reference shots-and some drills where the balls would be similar to the reference shots. two weeks later i made a 60 run by using pro1.
I learnt the hard way when i started with pool-- but i m enjoying that nowadays we have such great people like Stan Shuffet, and also Ekkes Schneider! Both love this game so much-and their enthusiasm helping other human to *satisfy* their hunger for knowledge. Both are fantastic and friendly guys, too!
I don t say, that i use pro1 or see all -the -time. For this i just haven t spent enough time with it. and i will also have days, where i maybe confuse myself by mixing something
But: Pro1 is fascinating for me. And it works.

Any effort to discredit CTE/Pro One is just silly at this point in time. There is plenty of video evidence that it is rock solid. Let me know if anyone needs some more.
The system works and is complete. It takes table time and effort but it is very natural for me now. Sometimes an open mind can open up a world of possibilities.
Keep up the great work Stan - looking forward to the release of DVD 2.

A rough cut 2 disc set is in the mail to me at this time and I expect to receive them on Saturday. I could have gone with 1 disc but for. 3 hours of content, that would mean dialing back the video/audio quality. With a. 2 disc set, obviously, I can maintain HD quality. All of my cover art and disc art was completed this week. So , indeed the process is winding down.
I I should have my notes, hopefully brief, back to my editor by mid next week.
After that I will give final approval, then it 's off to the copy house.
As far as keeping up the work, I have decided to do a comprehensive CTE PRO ONE book. I can include ideas such as what you recently suggested. This undertaking will be quite significant time wise as it will take at least a year to put it together and hopefully no more than. 2 years total for its release. I am in unchartered territory with putting a book together and my timeframe may be way off. Connie and I are going to do as much of the work as possible. I am really looking forward to sharing every spect of my knowledge of CTE with all that are interested. My DVDS, YouTube support videos and a comprehensive book will indeed allow me to leave no stones unturned.

You think? LOL. Stan has an equally impressive Daughter. When Stan is done with aiming, perhaps he and his wife should write a book about Parenting. Same problem though as with Pro One, you'd have people looking for the silver bullet while unwilling to put in the work.
They would read the book, then to try to say something nice to their daughter, she spits in their face, then they write a review about how the book is nonsense and it doesn't work.
Hal Houle system work on all tables. I've been doing this system for 10 yrs. It never failed me. Yes most shots are made with 3 spots A,B, and C but also you got right edge and left edge. I didn't learn the CTE with Hal. He just told me hit at A,B,C and or Edges on the object ball. I hate CTE crap, I don't believe that system work. I've tried aiming center to edge and when I get down and step in to shoot, it setting me up on a quarter shot and by the way.....this shit is not a quarter shot.....it a edge shot so it need to be cut more. Even the bad ass gambler player try to do this system and he told me this can't be done.....this shot is a edge shot and need to cut more.
Now again this guy is well known and gamble all the times and been to vegas couple times.......well kind of suck when a bad ass player can't even shoot CTE. But when he shooting how he aim, he break and run out play safe then run out....that how good he is. so we both agree this CTE is work less

Thanks for sharing that .. For about the 50th time. We got it. You obviously didn't learn English (the language) or CTE.

Gerry,Nobcity and anyone else who "saying you're wrong" before I met Hal I couldn't make more than 2 balls, that horrible and until I met Hal he clap clap with information and now I went from a rank 2 or 3 to a 9 in a months.......I know y'all thinking whatever and not about ranking skill and tournament, but if I haven't met Hal, I still be in the " I suck" if I did not have met him. I can care less what you think or whatever, Hal many different aiming systems or way for different people. He knew by watching me that he knew what I needed to know and do for this system that fit for me. Yeah he didn't teach me the Pivot thing on all shots, He just knew I didn't need that and He just told me A,B,C AND EDGES. I can care less what you think........y'all criticize people saying " you're wrong" so ****ing what if I am wrong.......all it matter was I did get to meet Hal....so you can says wrong all you want AND AGAIN **** YOU!!!
